So this was one of the many hikes we've enjoyed in Orofino. Just the only one we actually took the camera on. It turned out to be the hardest too. The trail was 10 miles, but we didn't make it to the end by any means. The added weight for both of us didn't help the steepness of the trails.

I had Grace up in a front carrier. The kids really seem to enjoy the free lift, and I am glad we haven't had any meltdowns on the trails. On the way we passed a huge waterfall. I am always in such awe by what is naturally out there for us to enjoy. Even though we didn't hike the full 10 miles, we did find this really cool secluded place.

(That's Thomas, Grace and I way down there oh and Nolans lovely shadow)
The rock jutted out pretty far into the resevoir and we could climb down to the water. I couldn't help but soak my feet in the cool water after a hike like that,

and Thomas had fun throwing rocks into the water. We had brought some food, so we just chilled there for a bit. So peaceful and relaxing. No distractions whatsoever.

How fun!! I love hiking! I can't wait to go this summer with the boys! That lake is beautiful. Cute family photo.
Looks fun! And how beautiful. I think Grace suddenly looks SO much like you. I've always seen you in her, but in the pic of you two, WOW.
wow that is really pretty... way to go hiking with kids, I wouldn't dare
Looks like a beautiful place! You guys are awesome to pack your kids around while hiking, I think I'd end up being the one to have a meltdown if I tried. I have a stroller/bike trailer and I use it when I walk, we never make it very far before they are fighting and want out.
WOW! So fun. I'm so impressed at all the things you and Nolan do together. What fun memories you are making. Maybe Thomas will remember them. The mountains are so peaceful and quiet, love it there.
You guys are like the show, "Where in the World in Carmen SanDiego?". I'm so glad that you can all be together through most of this. It looked beautiful in Idaho. Your condo looked nice. Nolan looks different as usual. He never ceases to amaze me how his hair or facial hair will change so often. I wish I could change my look that easily. Hope your week in Boise will be good. Love you guys.
That looks like the perfect day...and the perfect family!
It is so pretty there. To me it sounds fun to get out and stay somewhere for awhile. I'm glad the weather has been nice so you could hike and go to the park a lot to stay busy. I love the old school elevator..how funny.
What a fun an relaxing place - don't feel bad for not making it thw whole way... "The journey is the reward"
Pretty darn sweet.
Crazy, but I've never heard of Orifino... You guys should just get a motorhome and be like older couples during the summer... :) It looks like you're in a really beautiful place. Fun hike.
I want to go there! You guys are awesome to pack those kiddos up the trails. Good workout!!
You took some beautiful pictures. I'm glad you're enjoying all of your travels. Thomas and Grace just keep getting cuter!
Love, Sarah
That looks beautiful! What a fun family hike - it looks like the kids really enjoyed it. And that's so nice that they were both happy on the hike - it's somewhat stressful having an unhappy baby miles from the trailhead :)
That looks like so much fun! What a beautiful place! Looks like the kids enjoyed the hike as well although I think I would enjoy it more too if I was the one being carried around.
How beautiful! I love the first pic of the four of you! I can't believe how active you guys are...good for you! I wish I could do a hike like that with a baby strapped on me! Glad theres stuff there to keep you guys busy:)
Good for you guys! That sound like so much fun. I LOVE the peaceful outdoors too. It's been years since I have been able to go hiking. Trent & I hiked the Tetons (before kids) while we were in Rexburg. That was really cool.
Hows my world travelers! Its so much fun to see what you're doing. I really look at the blogs more than I comment, I love them. I'm glad you're having a good time, and seeing some great things. Your Easter pictures were cute too. See you soon!
