Oh Johnny BOY!

Over the past weekend we went to Malta so we could see Nolans brother one more time before he leaves on his mission to Toronto Canada. We had a good time with each other. Thomas loved playing with his Harper cousins. He didn't know what to do with the attention of 3 fun boys, and Heidi. I hardly saw him and he got so tuckered out that he fell asleep at 5 eating dinner on the way home. I just love this picture of Thomas and his Grandpa Harper. This hat was one that Gary wore as a child, and we put it on Thomas, and he just loved it. He actually wore it to church Sunday, and got in a fight in nursery over it. Pretty funny kid.

Nolans parents bought a house on the snake river, and so most of Saturday we were there hanging out while the boys did a little home improvement job on the deck. Tayna, Susy, and I handled the kiddos and had fun just catching up.They cut off the railing and made it a seat all around so you can have a better view of the river. Such handymen. It turned out really great.

I feel really lucky to have such great in-laws. It was really touching to see Nolan and Jonathan saying goodbye to each other. It is going to be hard to not have Jonathan in Malta when we go visit for the next couple years. He's so funny, up for anything fun, and always plays so well with the grandkids. We'll miss ya Johnny, but know what a great missionary you'll be.

****For an update on the travels...we were in Boise last week while Nolan was in Vegas. He toured the dam there, and did some rock climbing. I hung out with my family and had sleepless nights with Thomas. Then we went to Malta for the weekend, and came back to Orofino this week. Next week....PORTLAND!

It was so fun to have you come. You are always so fun to talk to. Little Grace is just a sweetheart. The boys had a blast with Thomas. It will be different without Johnathan around here. Hopefully you will still come :). Good luck in the traveling!

lucky jonathan got a dedicated post! looks like you guys had fun there with the Harper's, even though we were missing you here. It's cool that they are all so handy with things. I mean, you probably wouldn't see the Blodgetts getting together and fixing/building a deck...

Sounds like fun!! Your kids are too stinkin' cute. Grace is looking A LOT like you. I see both of you in her, actually. And you can definitely tell No-lan and Jonathon are brothers. That whole family looks alike. Glad you had a fun time!

I loved this post! I guess I'm a little biased though because it's about my family. We will sure miss Johnny too! All the grandkids, especially! He was so fun with the kids. I sure appreciated Nolan's phone call on your way back to Boise. I miss you guys. I love the picture of Thomas and dad. I think they look alike.

That's funny we were both saying goodbye to missionary boys last weekend! Don't you love it when the kids have cousins to play with?? Makes it nice so you don't have to entertain or anything. Glad you had fun in Malta. Good luck in Portland!!
