Part 1 of our Thanksgiving Trip

Well we made it to California. It was a good drive that we split into two days. I am glad we survived. Road conditions there were great, on our way home we had a 2 hour delay with Donner Pass in which they wouldn't let us drive through without chains so we had to buy some, but other than that it was good.
We got to Nolans sisters house last Saturday and had a fun time hanging out with them. Later that night they took us around main street of Palo Alto, and we got some Gelato. The kids loved running around the lit up street.
The next day was Sunday so after church we headed to the beach and the tide was extremely low so there were a lot of tide pools around, and it was fun walking around looking at what was left behind.
Nolan had to leave that night for a week long conference an hour away so the kids and I stayed with his sisters family. We had a lot of fun playing together, going to a toy store, the Golden Gate Park, the Japanese Tea Gardens, and the Palo Alto Zoo and Science center. On our last day with the Taylors we went to the Jelly Belly factory. It was really interesting, and they gave great samples, the kids were in heaven, and best of all it was FREE! (Forget trying to ever get these four to look at the camera at the same time!)Thanks Holly, Kent, Jack, & Jordan for such a fun vacation, and for housing us crazies! So after California, we went to Malta for a few days and hung out with the Harpers. Nolan helped do some excavating on some land of theirs at their River House, and we relaxed with movies, hot tubs, and yummy food. Thomas has had such a blast getting to know all his cousins better. They got a little carried away with bath bubbles here. There isn't even water in there, just suds!
