A Weekend in Tooele!

8 lb. 4 ounces the newest member of our family.
On Saturday, my sister, RaeAnn, and I packed up and headed out to Tooele to see our new little nephew Donald David Blodgett. It was sad to leaved Thomas for 2 nights, and this was the first time we'd been apart more than a few hours, but he and Nolan managed, and I came home to a sleeping baby and clean house so that was nice.
Anyways back to my brother, this is their fifth child, and it was cute to see how excited all the kids were for his arrival. I am bummed we didn't get a picture of the mom with her kids, but things were busy for her. Things were in order at the house even without us there, but we tried to help as best we could, and did a little cleaning, folding laundry, and playing. It was fun to be there all of Sunday even though it snowed all day. We left Monday, and I am already missing that sweet little boy!

I am not a mean Aunt, I just wanted to do a photo shoot, and he was not having it, so back to his mom who could silent him in a matter of seconds. I don't know if I am ready to go through the newborn stage in six months.

Augghhh! That screaming baby is giving me anxiety! I only have 5 more weeks! Please pray that this little one is an angel! Sounds like a fun weekend. I could tell you were gone yesterday- Thomas and Nolan looked a little roughed up- you know, the mom's touch just wasn't there! It made me laugh. Srry about taking off with your syrup in my fridge! I am so spacy these days.

You're not ready for the newborn phase, then what should I do!!! I have a few days, not months! AHH! I am sure we will all survive again though right! If not we wouldn't be doing it again.

ashley forgot to mention that our musical tastebuds were dazzled as sacrament meeting was just everyone sharing their favorite hymn and then singing by the congregation. It included a shout out (literally) from the organist and one later from the chorister.

Will you tell Kristin to invite me to her blog? pretty please? Wondering how Thomas did without you and how he was when you got home.

Cute little boy! How fun to go away for a weekend. I think Glen would appreciate what I do more too if he had to have Matthew for a couple of days. Not that he doesn't but it's different being the one to take care of the kid or kids all day. love ya

Your brother was always so nice when he'd come visit you in the dorms and then in Rain Tree (same bro, right?). You have a fun fam! And as far as the newborn stage, I'm sure you'll be ready when it comes! And Thomas will be such a good helper!

That is one cute baby! We miss hanging out with Danny - he was a fun neighbor in Dugway! Those Phase 10 and Halo compatitions will always be remembered. :)

I thought she was due really close to me. All I can say is I'm envious! That's great that you got to go down and help out for a few days. I'm sure she appreciated it so much. I'm sure it was good for Noloan and Thomas both to be without you for a few days. It helps them see what we stay at home Mom's do all the time! Having a little break is good for everyone! Hope you are feeling well, I can't believe you are already 15 wks. We will be in touch soon hopefully :)

I'm so happy for Danny and his family with the birth of their new baby! He is so cute! I need to look at the blogs more! It's so fun to see what you're doing. I really liked how you posted the recipe and will be looking for more! Thomas is so funny how he is arranging everything so straight! I have never seen a kid do that, but I like to do that when I play with kids! Maybe he got it from me! Jenny and I used the magic eraser a lot while we were getting ready to paint. They are wonderful! Love ya, Susy

If you thought this was good try one of these...
