Thomas' Obsession, and Wednesdays Meal

In the last week or so, Thomas has had this fascination with arranging all things that are similar together. Over conference weekend we really were noticing how much he did it while he played during the talks. It cracks Nolan and I up each time he does it, and he gets so upset when we try to help, or change his pattern.

I know you're all wondering how I let my kid play with cleaning supplies. But I usually clean while he bathes so after his bath, he'll spend forever arranging these in the shower, and it gives me a chance to finish the job.

"Mom, stop taking pictures of my work!"

I always want good recipes so I thought that I would start putting on here what I'm making each week for the meal exchange that I am in to give people some ideas. Tonight's meal....FAJITAS!

Ingredients

Fajita seasoning package
Green, yellow, red pepper (if you're not too into peppers, I'd just use one green pepper)
1 lb. chicken (or you can use round, sirlon, or flank, steak)
onion
tomato
optional: 2 avocadoes and guacamole mix

Just cut everything up, and brown the chicken first. Then add all the vegetables except the tomato, until they're cooked. Add the seasoning and water (according to package) We usually get avocadoes and guacamole mix and put that, and sour cream, and the tomato with the veggie/chicken mix on a warmed up tortilla shell, and Vaux La! It's that easy. They're good too. I usually have refried beans and Spanish rice as sides. Let me know if this was useful at all?

I'm glad to know that Ella isn't the only one with OCD. They're perfect for each other :) Hope to have some news someday soon!

Wow. Wow. That is very funny. I had to interrupt all important business here at work to show everyone my funny nephew. I had to skip over the cleaning products pictures as they are all social workers who tend to frown on poisonous entertainment...Thanks for the fajita recipe--sounds yummy!

How funny. What a smart little boy. Anything that keeps their attention for awhile is great. I love that shirt we got at Old Navy. Matthew's is getting a little small. Why didn't I buy it in every size? Hope you are doing good

Kids are soo funny. I loved the life cereal on his tray. My oldest does the same thing, but they all have a different style. She is more a "stacker" than a "liner" organizer. SO cute.

That is so funny that he organizes things like that!! It's a good thing, maybe he'll always have a clean room, either that or everything will be lined up in rows and rows...haha. It's always helpful to see what other people are making for dinner...great idea.

Thomas is so adorable!! My oldest son has OCD also, people are always commenting on how clean he is. It is deffinatly a trait he didn't get from his father!! I am going to have to try your recipe,we have a fun recipe swap here once a month, we all make something that goes with the theme (i.e.bread,pasta) and then we dig in and see how we like it! It's totally fun!

I can't believe he does that it is so cute. I haven't updated since my camera has died but Grady is getting his first tooth. So hopefully we will have a new camera by the time it pops out!

I didn't see this post before. This is pretty funny...actually pretty intelligent. Maybe he'll stay this way and be a really organized kid who you won't have to hound to do homework and clean his room. :)

Let's play Survivor online this week.

If you thought this was good try one of these...
