Well it's official....we're moving. Still no bites on the townhome, but our time in Smithfield is coming to an end. We don't know how to feel about everything. WE love so many things about Smithfield, but it's exciting to feel like adults and have a job after graduating. Today Nolan had an interview with the company in Walla Walla, Washington, and they offered him the job. They wanted to interview some people and wait to let us know, but Nolan told them he needed to know quickly with the Denver job fast approaching, and they called and just offered it. We still haven't picked a location yet, but both jobs want him to start at the end of June. He likes both jobs the same, salary is the same, and benefits, housing prices, moving expenses all of that are similiar. So what do you think? Here's my list of pros of each city off the top of my head...
Walla Walla, Washington

1. Closer to my sister, Nolan's parents, Nolan's brother, a cousin, and an aunt
2. Smaller town, we've like living in smaller citites
3. Easier to navigate area
4. Fun to say Walla Walla
5. No income tax
Denver, Colorado
1. Closer to 2 of my brothers, and an aunt
2. All the shopping I could ever dream of
3. Closer Temple
4. Big City, lots to do
5. Closer Airport
6. Have a hook up at Aspen to go skiing in the winter

Wow 2 exciting offers! I think either will be exciting. I can't believe you had an open house for 2 days and no one came to look at your condo, I saw your sign out front and was keeping my fingers crossed for ya! I love your pregnant pics, you look great, sorry I've missed a couple of your posts!
I would say Walla Walla would be my choice. I think small towns are better for raising children. And it would be fun to be close to the good outdoors. But it would also be fun to live in the big city with lots of entertainment. I just don't think I could handle all the crime, I am a little paranoid.
Crazy! I can't believe it. I guess you just get so used to things how they are- we've lived next to you for almost 3 years and it's just they way life is for me! I think I am having a change overload in my life right now! I would have to say Walla Walla anyways because I think you would love being closer to Raeann. We are going to miss you! BTW- I think I missed your knock today. I was doing laundry. Come over tomorrow... or the next day... or the next.. or the next :)
Oh the pressure! I have heard from lots of people that WW is not the prettiest place, and is not on the up and up, but you know it is closer to me so THAT:S ALL THAT MATTERS! Denver would be awesome; it just seems a little to far away from your family nuclei. That's not a big word...endoplasm...hahaha. remember my primary kids?
My vote is you just stay here!! :) NO, but really, I thought you said the one in Washington was the job that he would be doing what he really wanted to do, wouldn't you do that?
I would go for Walla Walla. I am all about the smaller towns. I went to Denver on Vaca. And did not like it. I got car sick driving around looking for a place to park! The streets are like in SLC they don't always go both ways. SO to get around the block you have to go down two more streets. Anyway but we did have fun at the Rockies game. I guess that would be a plus if you like baseball and football.
I am so happy for you. You're in a great situation to have 2 offers that you want and now you just get to choose. My sister lived in Denver for 4 years and LOVED it! Now they're moving to Seattle. I don't know where Walla Walla is. Dallas doesn't have state income tax and we love that! If you're in Denver we'd drive through town on our way to Boise. But if you're in Washington we'll see you when we visit my sister. I don't think you can go wrong. For Nolan to actually like his job is a huge benefit in overall quality of life--so if there's one that he'd like more I would do that! Hang in there with all these big changes and stresses!! You're doing a great job, and you look adorable.
Yay for Walla Walla! How fun to have a real life grown-up job! Instead of cashing your first pay check, I think you should frame it like people do at restaurants and what not. Either that or split it with me. I could go 60-40 ?
Hey--
Sorry, I really have no advice as to where you guys should move, but I just wanted to congratulate you and Nolan!! How exciting is life for you and your little family right now? I know you guys will be happy wherever you go because you're just the kind of people that can make anything great and fun. And wherever you go, Aunt Kimberly will be sure to visit. I love you guys so much and miss you too!!
How exciting!!!! Those are both hard choices! I love Colorado, but you should go to WW so you're close to me! :) We had to look it up cause never heard of it, but small towns are fun. I think just pray about it and the Lord will help you make the right decision. good luck and congrats!!!
Just to answer your questions. Yes I do watch a few extra kids. I have two extra right now. I had three at one point, which made twins and tripplets for me. Yeah it was crazy!
Wow, Ash! I am so excited for you guys!! What a fun position to be in! I'd go wherever Nolan thinks he'll like his job the most! I think you'd like either one...no income tax would be really nice, though! You look so cute! Thanks for the ideas. :)
This is a tough one and while I don't profess to be the all knowing all the time, I'm pretty sure that you should take my word on this one...Mountains for free should not go to waste, especially because little Thomas is about snowboard ready...this next season for sure. Washington is cool, we'll be there soon and so if you want to visit you already have a place to stay, likewise, you moving to Denver supplies us with a place stay and (if you're good hosts) free lift passes...So really it's a win win...
I know you already made your choice, but I just want to say I think you made a good one. My sis in Washington loves it there and I would definitely choose to raise my family in a small town over the city if I had the choice to make. Good call!
P.S.
We can't wait to see you guys next week.
