Weekend Windup & 32 Weeks

We had a pretty fun weekend. The Sweet Onion Festival was the big hoopla around town, so we thought we would go check it out. We loaded up in the bikes and headed out. It was such an awesome day for a bike ride. We had lots of fun checking out the local vendors and the many ways a sweet onion can be ingested. There were a lot of booths to look around at, and tons of food. I decided we needed some good Walla Walla cherries so we got some. Little did I know they were $9 for this little bag. Whoops, was I suppose to barter? They were the best cherries we'd ever had, but we figured it was about 50 cents a pop. Won't be making that mistake again, That same night we met up with some friends and had a BBQ in the park. Nolan grilled up some yummy steaks, but they paled in comparison to our friends shish ka bobs and shrimp. Thomas spent the whole time figuring out the big kid playground, and by the end of the night was loving it. We also went swimming a couple times, and I tried baking some yummy dishes. Most of them turned out but one dessert I've been craving forever. Just a tip, Evaporated milk, not the same as Sweetened Condensed milk. YUCK!

In other news, Thomas is finally feeling at home in our little apartment I think. We were thrilled yesterday to learn our son is not a mute. He actually says "Ashes, ashes, we all fall down." It's amazing to go from nothing to that, but made us really excited. It comes at random times, and we have no control of making it come out, but at least we know words are in there....somewhere.

I am still sporting the big belly look. This weeks to do list, "GET A DOCTOR." Here's the latest belly shot, ignore the too tired to get ready face.

I love your entries. You are so funny! Walla Walla seems like such a fun place to live. I made the cherry mistake once too, only with grapes. I spent $12. I learned how to weigh produce at the grocery store after that. That's cool Thomas is speaking. Mikey is also pretty non verbal. Maybe someday...

Looks like such a fun place!! And WOW, you look great! If only I looked like that at 32 weeks. And good for Thomas! He is so cute. Hopefully one day I can meet him face to face!

...as far as my class--it doesn't start until August, so I'll let you know how it goes! It's going to focus a lot on body sculpting and cardio, so the stroller will definetly be involved. I'll let ya know!

Wow 32 weeks, you're so close! Do you have everything ready yet? oh and can I get your adress so I can send you and your baby a little something? I'm sure it is so fun to have Thomas talking. Dallin was a mute until he was two and then he started talking and acted like he knew the whole time.

Cute pics! I'm impressed you were out bike riding at 32 weeks. My balance was gone by then. You look fabulous! I am happy you guys are getting out and enjoying the Walla Walla life -- it sounds like a neat little town, somewhere that could feel *like* home.

Looks like you are doing good! I knew you would both just jump right into life there. I'm glad Thomas is adjusting. I'm exited to be able to see you this weekend. Whenever Heidi sees Matthew she says- "Thomas". She just can't get it yet. So with him here, it will really throw her off! Darin just left today to go to Arizona for 2 days. Hopefully I don't go crazy! Great grain harvest practice!

I'm so glad that you guys are doing so well. It sounds like you are adjusting just fine. That's cool you're making friends and finding fun things to do. Your cherry incident is funny because I did about the same thing this week - but Oh they were good! I'm glad Savannah's not the only baby not talking too much. Matthew made me pretty jealous at Bear Lake. Have a great day!

So I have been really bad with the blog lately and haven't even been looking at others. I'm glad you had a fun weekend! You look great and I love that shirt you are wearing. GAP? I can't wait to see you guys. Matthew is pretty sick right now and not being himself so I hope he gets better by the time you get here. see you soon!!!

Hope you can find a doctor you like. I am so glad you are having so much fun and that Thomas is finally warming up to being there. When we moved it was weird for Kenzie and it was just across town. We tried to get her all excited about the "new house" and her "new bedroom" and although she seemed to like it, she kept asking when we were going back to our "old house".

Hey! Looks like fun! I would have been ticked if I bought a $9 bag of cherries... who would have thought???? Oh well- at least they were good! You are looking fab and tiny at 32 weeks... man only 8 more! Are you getting ready?? We miss you guys!

Ashley, I can't believe how small you are. You're like 2 months ahead of me and I look the same size as you!! Way to go! Looks like you're having a fun time in Walla Walla.

Hey! I'm glad you found it! We'll have to for sure get together next week sometime. I like your blog background!

That's funny about the cherries. Give Thomas a high five on the talking. That was Seth. One day he just turned on and hasn't stopped. It's like they just listen and load up for months and then they start to let it all out! It's so fun & exciting. good luck with the Doc. Can't wait to hear how it goes!

I've given up reading all of your commentors...there's just too darn many, but my question is are the onions really sweet? It sounds like a Green fried tomatoes sort of thing to me...Wait aren't sweet onions on 'Holes' too? I think this is all just one big lie.

If you thought this was good try one of these...
