Why My Pregnancies are Not Like Celebrities...

Someone commented to me the other day that it's funny I always have a baby around the same time as Angelina Jolie. I thought about this later, and realize the timing is THE only thing we have in common when it comes to baby making.
1. I do not look good or enjoy wearing maternity clothes, or I don't have the right ones. I can't figure it out, but next time I definitely am going to need some of these glamor gowns.

2. I read articles about how a lot of celebrity moms feel so confident, and great, smoother, sexier, when pregnant. After about 32 weeks, I on the other hand start to feel HOT, but not in the sexy way in the sweaty way, along with that comes the swolleness, (is that a word) a feeling that this body is not my own with something moving constantly about, cluzmy, thirsty all the time, the bum back, and the feeling of being very large and in charge.

3. Most interviewed celebrities talk about their abnormal cravings to fresh fruit, veggies.
I find myself only want what is fast and easy. Sure I eat the healthy stuff, but no more than normal. It's the carbs, and sweets that become more common when I am pregnant than when I am not.

4. And the very last reason that I don't quite feel connected to celebrity pregnancies, they get back to looking like this in six weeks.
I am still sporting the bella band, pajama look. I guess they get to go back to their normal lives a little quicker with the help of a nanny 24/7 so maybe that helps, but comparing anything in real life, especially pregnancies, to celebrities is just unfair and I don't want to think about it anymore.

Are you kidding me! You look great when you are pregnant, despite what you feel! And you looked great after you had Thomas and I am sure you will after this one too! I don't ever want to be due in the fall, when I had Kenzie at the end of June that was more than I could handle, I can't imagine the last trimester being July, August and September! Good luck! You are getting so close. Have you decided on any names yet?

Cute post! :) I can't believe you guys are in Washington now after we just moved from there! Although I'm not sure how far Walla Walla is from Seattle?? You'll have to do a weekend trip to Seattle, but make sure it's during the summer or early fall - that's the best time to go. I miss living there!

Okay...you ARE a cute pregnant lady. You can't compare yourselves to the celebs who are prego because they spend $$$ on the pregnancy clothes when the rest of us settle for scrubs and long t-shirts to cover our halfway zipped up jeans and they have major help from nanny's, trainers and possibly surgeons afterwards. It isn't reality, so don't be fooled. You are beautiful!

i remember one time this rich lady was in bath and body and she told me she had triplets, and i was like wo. and she was like i know, but it helps that I have three nannies that rotate eight hour shifts, so I am never without help. yeah, i think that may help just a little. you forgot to mention the difference in how you drive with your kids in the car as opposed to some other celebs...

Someone said that to me too, Ella and Cavin almost share her kids birthdays! I'm not feeling to celeb sexy either! And it has been longer than 6 weeks and I still don't look like that! You always look great though, but I'm not one to love the pregnancy part either, just remember the baby is the reward!

I got some good laughs from this post :) I agree totally with you about it all, even the craving snacks and sweets instead of healthy stuff. I think you look like a celebrity anyways - before, during, and after pregnancy, so there.

I agree totally. Everything is just so perfect all the time for those celebs. We all know what I look like the last trimester:(. But the babies are worth it and we actually raise ours, not the nannies. But for the record I think you are seriously one of the cutest pregnant ladies I know. Hang in there, I hate the end too. I'm burning up and I'm not even preg. I don't know how you do it. She'll be here in no time!

Amen. Although I would disagree that you look any less beautiful than the celebrities.

What I love is when you are about to have a baby and you scream," I CAN'T WAIT TO BURN THESE NASTY MATERNITY CLOTHES!" Just to find out that 6 months later they are still the only things that fit in your closet.

You are just a tiny little thing! I just hate the last ten weeks of pregnancy they seem to last forever! How are you guys liking Washington? Have you found a new doctor?

Yes Yes we do need to get together before you go... or you could just stay and go to the ward camp out with us! That would be fun:) We are jogging to Pioneer park this morning (I say morning but its allready like 9, and I'm blogging away!) Any who we'll call:)

That was wonderful to read..it gave me some very good laughs and I couldn't agree with you more. You look great pregnant and are still as small as can be. I can't believe it is only a few more weeks away. Good luck finding a doctor I am sure you'll have a great one.

If you thought this was good try one of these...
