My Smiling KIN!

Warning: Most all of the pictures do not correspond with writtings, I know it's confusing, so just enjoy looking and reading, and not connecting the two.

Well I have been considering giving up blogging. Don't get me wrong I LOVE checking blogs, and getting the comments, but I have been drafting a lot of posts that don't make the cut, and so I've been feeling my posts are not blog worthy. Make sense? However, my sister has told me to persevere, so I decided to just publish one post that I had deemed unworthy, and keep rolling til' I get inspired.

This weekend was really nice. (I know I am way late in the week to be doing a weekend wind up but cut me some slack okay?)
We didn't go out of town as planned, but we were happy to just relax at home. We went to the annual sausage festival here on Saturday. I know what you're thinking..."Sausage wow, who knew sausage could be celebrated." But it really can. It was pretty busy, and Nolan ate a huge German Sausage while I stuck to salad. As we sat down to eat and it started pouring, so as we ran back to the car soda spilling, and sausage soaking our evening was cut short, but Nolan found out he could watch the BYU game online that night, and so it made up for it. Go COUGARS!
The rest of the weekend we spent watching conference. I was a little worried that we wouldn't get conference, so we would have to drive to the church and deal with Thomas for four hours in the same room, and basically get blessings for the effort, but luckily KBYU showed it on the Internet, and it didn't freeze up or anything. There were a lot of great messages I needed to hear, and things I will be adding to my "work on" list.

Grace has started to smile! It was earlier than Thomas did for sure, and I love it, she really does it good for Nolan. (I think she likes the black rimmed glasses, they're so in right now.) I tried catching it, and sort of did, but our camera is lame and takes forever to take! Don't worry it's on the Christmas wish list for sure. Her eyes are also most definitely BLUE! She's one of a kind, we'll see if they stay that way.
Thomas has been such a blast these days. The most funny thing he does is scream in the highest longest shriek you've heard whenever the scuba diver takes Nemo on the show. I skip chapters to it over and over just to hear and see his reaction! If my camera did video with noise I would post it, but once again our camera is lame. (Note previous gripe about it above.) Anyways, Thomas is so happy, I was getting use to his constant whining ever since he had strep and his molars. I figured this was how he was going to be for awhile, thank goodness it didn't last. He loves to watch and read the Nemo and Cars movies and books, wrestle, and tickle. Anytime Nolan or I get on the floor he attacks us. We have to be careful not to put Grace on the floor, because he has tried laying on her.
The other day he kept trying to get in the swing with Graces blanket, but was getting so mad. I was confused, but then realized he wanted to be swaddled like Grace. It was hilarious, but he didn't stay wrapped up long. I figure he is still under the weight the swing can hold so hopefully it's okay.
PHEW YOU MADE IT through my brain fogged rambling...WELL DONE!

Not blogworthy? I always love your posts. Do NOT stop blogging. Grace seems to be getting more hair...it's very cute. I enjoyed all the pictures. They're both growing fast. I'm so glad to hear Thomas is so happy, this age is such a riot. Everyday's a party with a 2 year old.

I want to come back!!! I love the picture of Thomas in the swing. It is so good that you understand what he really wants. Of course, it could be that he just wants to swing. I wish we could go swing him at that great park together.
