I have been feeling neglectful of the good ol' blog these days and so thought I would post a little somethin somethin. Life has really just settled down for us. With no trips in the past 3 weeks we really are just taking it easy at home. Thanks to everyone for all the nice birthday wishes. It was a very relaxing Sunday. Nolan wouldn't let me lift a finger, or a child all day so I just lounged. Got some great jeans, black boots, 30 candy bars, and a few other things.
The day before my birthday Nolan had kind of a bad day. He went on a youth retreat with the bishop and priests in our ward. They were snowmobiling and Nolan went of this little jump, but fell off the sled. Then the throttle was stuck, so it kept going and drove right off of a HUGE cliff. They couldn't see it anywhere and there was no way to go down there to get it. So we felt terrible, especially Nolan he was just sick about the situation, and the Bishop wouldn't let us think about paying for it, so it was just a bad situation. Anyways, last weekend he and about 5 other guys all went back there after renting Ice shoes and hiked down to find it. They did find it and they were able to dig their shoes in, and pull it all at the same time. It was like 1500 feet down a really steep slope, but after about 4 hours of pulling and everything they managed to get it out. It really is a Miracle how good of a condition it is in. It actually started. And while there is definitely some repairs, we are happy. I wish I could post pictures of how steep it was, but don't know how to do it off the camera. When Nolan got home that night he was so sore he felt like JELLO.
Grace turned 4 months and we took her in to get shots. She was 13.7 lbs. and 25 inches. Since coming home she has struggled with a cold and I don't think the shots helped, lack of sleep has been the most major effect. I started feeding her rice cereal last weekend and she has a lot of fun eating it. I can't decide if I am going to stick with it for awhile though, it's a lot of work.
I Haven't been feeling so well so I usually get the kid ready and stay in my pj's for most of the day. I hope it will leave soon because I feel like such a bum all day, and just do the minimum of getting the kids fed, changed, and put to bed. Otherwise, Grace and I lay on the floor chatting, and Thomas throws CARS at us. Fun times.

WOW is what I have to say about Nolan's experience. Glad they were able to find it...safely!
And yeah for sleep! Glad you had a new post for me to read! :)
Yes I missed you. I keep wanting to call you with the countdown of your trip here, but cell phone minutes...Can't wait to see you. Oh, and for those wondering who got you 30 candy bars...Like I always say, If I can't be skinny I want my friends to be fat.
Oh Wow, I am glad Nolan came out of there safely. I can't believe the snowmobile was alright...that is just amazing. Hope you and Grace feel better soon. Glad Thomas is sleeping better for you though. I agree on the rice cereal, I get a little lazy and don't start my kids with solids until about 6mo. I kinda think it is better for their tummy anyhow, but I don't know. 30 candy bars, sonunds like the perfect gift for a mother with two kids!
Being a sick mom is no fun! Especially when you have a baby not sleeping well. Glad you had a good Birthday. I can't believe our girls are already 4 months!
So much info to comment on. I've started an email so I'll leave most of it for that. Hope your feeling better. Most exciting news...Thomas sleeping 3 nights in a row. I hope its habit by now! Miss you guys.
Sounds like Nolan had quite the trip! I am glad they were able to get the snowmobile out. We have never looked into buying one of those but I am sure they aren't cheap. Way to go Thomas! I hope he keeps up his sleeping through the nights.
That's a pretty crazy story about the sled. I'm glad he found it and that he didn't get hurt. Yay for Thomas sleeping through the night, but too bad Grace isn't now, hopefully they work it out and both do it soon :) I'm glad you had a good birthday too!
holy cow, Nolan! You adventurer...be careful! I am glad the sled was all that went off the cliff. Good news on Thomas...sorry it isn't in synch with Grace. Uurg!Sorry you haven't been feeling well...hope you do soon!
I can't believe Nolan and those guys hauled the snowmobile out. Those things are so heavy. I loved the image of you laying on the floor with Grace and Thomas throwing cars at you. I'm sorry, but I had to chuckle. At least you aren't busy and stressed right now and can just relax.
Why don't you feel well?? That's not good! HOpe you get better soon! I'm glad NOlan didn't fall off that cliff too! Scary. Guess what? Braydan is the Priest advisor in our ward too. He loves it. Anyways, that sounds like lots of adventures getting that snowmobile out of there! Tell Thomas good job sleeping through the night! Wahoooo!!!
Late Happy Birthday. I know I'm lame, but you know that too, so somehow I think it makes it okay.
How crazy is that cliff? Intense. Ice Shoes and everything....crazy.
