#1...Scrap booking. It's an endless, thankless task especially when I take like an hour per page. Two of my sisters in-law have inspired me to get into gear though. I have each of the kids caught up on theirs. Theirs take a while because it is also their journal so it involves a lot of writing. Man I hope someday they'll appreciate this. But the family one seems to be never ending. I am to September at least. It does give me a chance to watch my new favorite obsession.
One Tree Hill, oh man any other fans out there? It really deserves a whole post dedication, but what can you do?#2....Potty Training. Am I insane? And I can't decide if I really want to get into this, but since Monday Thomas has been going on the little potty we got for him. I have to take him every time, but he goes.
Too bad for naps and bedtime I was too scared to disrupt the good sleep we have going with him these days so he wears a diaper. That's also when he goes double, so I don't know how to fix that. Any miracle potty training suggestions out there?? Just don't say wait because we are past that.
#3....Housework and cooking. For some reason when we are out of town I am a WHIZ in the kitchen. And I am constantly picking up and cleaning, and enjoying it. Once we get home I let the dishes pile, and meals go unmade. Not this week, I have been trying to stay on top of things.
#4...Doctors. Enough said. Scheduling 2 kids, dentists appointments, Lasik check-ups, and I need some work done on my feet. I feel like all we do is make phone calls and schedule. And to work around all the trips we take it is time consuming.
For all those concerned, Nolan is doing really great with his eyes. They feel totally normal, and he can see. Surgery success!

I love One Tree Hill! It is nice to know that I am not the only one who got sucked into that show! Good luck with potty training. I have no idea what I am doing! I am just hoping he figures it out and teaches himself! Glad that Nolan is doing good.
You are busy! I've been telling moms of my students - one baby is a lot of work, right now I can't imagine more than one kid...I certainly still have a lot to figure out :) I too am a fan of one tree hill - I don't watch it much anymore and so have no idea what's going on but am excited when I catch an episode. I'm impressed you are scrapbooking - keep it up, I'm sure Thomas and Grace will be very grateful!
oh, scrapbooking... it never ends. But it sounds like you are doing a great job keeping up. I haven't done any for a while, I go in spurts. I will do a whole year in about a week and then I will be done with it for months. Potty training is tricky! I am kinda thinking it is time with Mason, but I am afraid to take the leap. Dallin was very easy, once HE decided to do it. I just told him I would buy him Mac from Cars and in a week he was trained. The sticker chart was a joke with him, and candy never worked eaither. I also didn't try pull-ups, he knew they were just like a diaper. But Every kid is sooooooo different. you never know what will work. Good Luck!
Wow! Lots of just life stuff going on. Way to go on the scrapbooks! I'm impressed you are so far caught up, I wish I was! I'm trying though. Potty Training!! Wahoo!! Good luck! Naps and night time will come. Call me if you need ideas, I have a few. Sounds like it's going good so far. It's a long process sometimes, but worth it! Glad Nolan can see! We can't wait to see you again!
Hey busy bee. I LOOOOOOVE One Tree Hill. I watched an episode randomly a couple years ago, and so we rented the box sets season after season, and frankly, I'm obsessed. Cliff was a great sport watching it with me, and frankly, he got hooked. haha. He actually got me the 1st season to start the collection recently. We like it, can you tell? So are you just starting? Or are you jumping into this season??
I loved the little movie on the last post "my theme song!" Good luck with the potty training thing its never fun. Whats wrong with your feet? too much Wii huh...haa haa! So how long are you guys in town for? I'm comming in tomorrow (Friday) we could do lunch or something? Call me :0)
oh sorry one more thing. Did you get my text? I'm not sure if my phone is sending to non Verison phones???
YOu know that most people don't lovingly refer to "it" as "double", right? What work on your feet btw? Oh and OTH is on sale at Target for $18 a season! You want me to get it?
I will totally give a shout out for One Tree Hill! One of my absolute favs! I don't ever miss it! Sounds like you guys are doing good. I feel for you on the potty training. It is a tough one to start and actually follow through with. I don't even mess with that one until my kids are three years old. They just seem to have to interest til then, and then they catch on much quicker. That is just my two cents! And keep up with the Scrapping! I am way behind in mine, but I know my kids will appreciate it one day, and I totally enjoy the time doing it!
You are busy! I would have to say if thomas is going in the potty great.. But if he stops don't be alarmed! I potty trained Tyson at 3 1/2 No accidents and not even at night:) Good luck!

Gosh, sounds like I really need to start watchin One Tree Hill. And, Potty Training...I agree, every kid is different. I know with Seth I had to be totally committed and consistent. I'll email you with a few ideas that worked for us. What's up with your feet?
And you think that is NOT a crazy week?!?! You are awesome. I am proud of myself if I just get the dishes done. Good luck with potty training! :) Sam took forever, but it's so worth it. I don't have any tips though. We tried everything and it still took forever.
Oh no! Not another show to get me addicted to! First LOST, then Gilmore Girls, now this! jk. You have good taste. That's awesome about Thomas going on the little potty. Kaleb never would, just goes on the big one poopy. No clue about the peeing part. Let me know if you figure it out! Good job on the scrapbooking. Digital? I heard that's the way to go these days, but maybe you can teach me. Or motivate me. You should post one of your masterpiece pages. Anyways, this is really long and boring, but I mostly wanted to say I'd love if you came and visited! Love ya
My friend gave me the book "Potty Training in Less than a Day." She said it never actually worked in a day with her kids, but she loved the principles it used to teach them. I've just started it, and so far it seems good. It's pretty short, too.
I have zero advice for the potty training, sorry! haha. I am glad you're making meals at home cuz you're a way good cook, and yes oth deserves a post to itself. Love it, love that you love it, love that I get my sister's addicted to new tv shows. haha
I used to watch one tree hill -but it has become a thing of the past for me know. Good show though! As for you guys busy busy -I am not sure how you keep up -and Potty Training. Best of luck if I had any thought I would share but I am worried about that adventure with my own child and it is pretty far down the road. Sounds like he is doing pretty good though!
Wow, you have been busy! I am impressed you are so caught up on your scrapbooking. I need to do better at that and especially the journaling part. And that is great that Thomas is interested in potty training. Ellie still has me help her in the bathroom so I think that is pretty normal. Good luck.
Scrap booking--will you do my kids? All they get are picture books and those papers from the dr. . . haha. And that is so cool about Nolan's eye surgery. That must be exciting for him! And as far as potty training, Eden was way more into it than I was. . .so I was lucky that time. Wish I had better tips!
Wow! lasik that is cool. and brave. I have thought about it many times, but don't really know if I could go through with it. I wish we were together to scrap. I need a little inspiring myself. But I am heading to the scrapbook expo this month so that should be good.
Ashley,
Hi sorry it took me so long to get back to you about the template. I'm not sure what the exact name of the template I'm using is. I tried to look for it in my settings but couldn't find it. Anyway, it is one of the stretch ones. So if you go in to change yours pick a "stretch" one and that makes it wider!!
