We Likes to Party!

Queen For A DAY! We started our morning with a group of about 12 kids, cupcakes, and a blowup castle. I think Thomas had more fun than Grace, but it was a great day to spend outside.

We had a celebration at the park, and it got dark fast but was still fun. 6 families joined in for the fun. We had plenty of cake. One day I was going over animal sounds with Thomas and I asked what a monkey said. Then I asked what baby Grace says and he made the same sound for both, so she's become our little monkey. This was our inspiration. We didn't get a picture of our actual cake, but it was close to this, so we are using the picture that we used for inspiration here. After cake we went home and opened presents. Thomas really got the meaning of birhtdays this year. He was excited to give Grace the presents we had picked out and wrapped.
They both had fun with our new noisy toys! Not even 24 hours later and it's getting to me:-)
Her first dolly, and the animal train. I really love this toy.

Definitely a fun day, glad we had reason to celebrate, but also remember those whose lives were taken and those who sacrificed for us.
