Feelin' Hot, HOt, HOT!

Last week we spent in sunny Arizona. Nolan and I were on separate flights, and I think I got the better passenger. Grace went with Nolan since it was free.He was so good even though we couldn't watch a movie on either flights and we had to go through security again on our layover and walk a TON!
We stayed with my Aunt Mae and had such a blast. I love spending time with her, she's so energetic, positive, complimentary and upbeat. I was amazed at how much she accomplished each day. It was almost therapeutic for me to be in the 80 degree weather for a little while. My aunt has some great citrus fruit trees. Each day the kids would pick and eat an orange and I I would make freshly squeezed lemonade. So good and ORGANIC. haaha One day we picked all the lemons before they would go bad and then froze 10 gallons of pure lemon juice! Isn't that insane? It was a 6 man project and I was loving smelling the lemons. I want a lemon and orange tree so badly now. Thomas was in heaven there. I wish we had a bigger fenced yard with a dog. Hopefully the dog was enjoying it as much as Thomas. He would wake up, eat, and spend 3 hours outside with their dog and with Grace. I was shocked how entertained he kept himself while we did projects around the house. Once after we were running errands for a couple hours we got home pretty tired, but he just went straight from the car to the back yard. It was cracking me up.
We also were able to see my Grandma Heaps who stays there is the summer. I was so happy Thomas and Grace got to spend more time with her. We ate out a few times, played at the park, shopped, sold some stuff on Craigslist, and spent time with my cousin Tawni and her five kids. They were really sweet with Grace and Thomas. My biggest dissapointment was that we didn't get pictures with all these awesome relatives. UGH what was I thinking?!?
Now we are in D.C. We were on separate flights again, and with spring break just ending the airlines were CRAZY. We had a 3 hour delay in Detroit. Nolan and Grace waited for us at the airport during that time so we could all take the shuttle to our hotel together. It was a long day for all of us. We lost one of the car seats among the airport changes. It got delivered here this morning though, and even though it reeked of smoke, I was happy to get it. More on D.C. adventures later!

How fun, Thomas looks so cute with the dog, the dog sure looks like he was enjoying himself! I love fresh lemonade, Aunt Mae is the best, and I am so wishing I was in 80 degree weather. We would love to travel the Oregon coast with you this summer, Seth served his mission there. But we have Tropi sno:( Maybe we could find a way to get together once Tropi sno is over with.
