Movies were watched: Star Trek...not my favorite. Who recommended that one? And 2012. Great effects, but a little depressing. Of course I think if the world were ending I would want it to happen in 48 hours, not over the course of years. Would your rather drown, be burned by fire, or fall down an earthquake crack? I chose the falling one.
Games were played. Grace is officially obsessed with Ring Around the Rosie. And it's hilarious when you do the second part after falling down.
Do you know it? It's new to me, I like it because it let's me recover from the dizziness brought on by the first part....
Do you know it? It's new to me, I like it because it let's me recover from the dizziness brought on by the first part....Lyrics go:
Cows are in the meadow (walk on hands and knees in a circle)
Eating buttercups
OH NO! bumblebee!
We all Jump up!
Nolan made this cow with Thomas yesterday
and today Thomas wanted a horse. I made him one small horse with 6 LEGOS, and he threw a fit because apparently it's not cool unless you use every LEGO in the bag to make it. Doesn't he know the difference between me and Nolan yet?

Doesn't he know the difference between me and Nolan yet?Seven Layer Bars "aka Satan's Snacks" were made. I ate half the pan and to hide my embarrassment I quickly cut them out and moved them to a plate, they always look like more on a plate. Nolan wasn't fooled though and realized he needed to hide them from me.
We realized we like the life of an old couple. For 3 days straight, we ate dinner around 4:30, went to bed early, and we did an early morning session at the temple. I love the eating early part because then you have room for a good snack at night.
One very exciting thing is that SPRING has SPRUNG! It was so nice all weekend. The kids looked cute in their clothes, and I loved laying on the grass reading.
We played a lot in the front yard and got many strange looks from passing cars. It made me sad, I like the front yard, and that is how neighbors can really get to know each other I feel. So we will continue to play there, and hope others come out and join us soon.

Fun weekend. You didn't like Star Trek? Man, I heard it was awesome. I had no idea there was another part to Ring around the Rosie. Interesting...
Fun!! Playing outside is the best!! So excited for spring! Gracie looks sooo grown up on the bike! It is crazy how fast time flies with kiddies!!
I was afraid to read this post...cause of the movie!! Haha! Grace looks like such a big girl on that bike! Oh and I didn't know that there was a second verse to Ring around the Rosie, either. I am excited now though to sing it with Mason :)
Ok, I retract my comment!! I thought it said 'The Hills have eyes'..I need to read better!!!
I just learned the 2nd part of that during Logan's speech. Except they say:
Cows in the meadows eating buttercups
Thunder lightning we all jump up.
(This is all done sitting on the floor still and pounding on the ground.)
Yeah, I didn't really like Star Trek either. Never saw 2012 though. . . I'll agree, falling down the crack would probably be more enjoyable. I didn't know there was a second verse to that song! How funny! Grace is getting long hair and her skirt is darling! Cool cow, I bet your horse was pretty cool too though! I'm interested about that seven layer bars recipe. . . sounds tastey! Playing outside is the best! There really is no better way to meet people than playing in your front yard! Yay for Spring!
We play in the front yard too! It's sunnier and it's more interesting :) Does Grace ride the bike already? Kaleb won't even ride his bike yet!!! Drives me crazy!!
We'll have to play the second part of ring around the rosie :) I really like your pictures. I'm more aware now of good, clear shots and you took nice ones :) Love you and have fun on your trip!!!
What a great post. I love random posts! I just learned the second part to ring around the rosie from Jordan and Holly. They say cows are in the meadow, eating buttercups, ashes, ashes, we all stand up. Staying still on hands and knees and pounding floor. I love that there are so many versions! I can't believe you guys were out in shorts! JEALOUS! Me and the 2 big boys went skiing on Saturday. Have fun on your trip! (great job eating all the seven layer bars! Sounds like something I would do!)
Fun! We too had great weather, we loved it so much I forgot to take pics. I didn't know their was a second verse to R.A.T.R. I like it! Have a great trip!
I do remember that quote. I couldn't find it though. I always say that I'll read with a hilighter next time, but I'm an impatient reader and I just keep going. I meant to tell you thanks for commenting and reading the book and that I'm jealous you are always doing such blogworthy things, but I am bad at commenting and am busy doing non-blogworthy things : )
YAH for good weather and playing outside! I wish we had a front yard to play in, but I'm pretty sure Stone would not stay in the yard. He's a crazy kid and needs to be fenced in. Look how long Grace's hair is getting!!
last weekend we went and saw Avatar. Trent was surprised that I wanted to see it since I am not really into that sort of movie, but you recommended it so I was curious. thanks. now I am going to have to check out the others. I don't think I could handle 2010 though. we'll see... We watched "Did you meet the Morgans" in our hotel room and laughed a lot. i liked it. we learned a second verse to Ring around the Rosies a few years ago, but it is a little different:
Cows are in the meadows, Eating buttercups, ashes, ashes, we all stand up.
i think your's is better.
Have a good trip! Your kids are so cute. Oh, and I definitely need the recipe for "Satan's Snack."
love the spring posts. had an idea for how you can get the neighbors to play...start enticing them with FRUIT LEATHER! worked for T.D! Also, you are becoming a good little picture taker!!
I can't wait for it to finally warm up. We are still waiting here in logan. Movies??? I don't think you could ever watch The Proposal to many times. Although I did love Star Trek. Plus seven layer bars -delicious I am totally with you if no one else was around I could eat the whole pan full!! Grace looks so big- I can't even believe it! They are both cuties!
You are such a good blogger. I need to post more about our every day life. I always feel I have to have something big to blog about. I love that you were such an old couple for three days. You guys are funny. Our version of the song is. . . cows in the meadow eating buttercups, thunder lightening, we all stand up! I'm getting excited for you to go to D.D. I hope you'll love it. I'll try call you again.
