O.P.P, yea you know me!

Well thanks for the sweet comments on my last post. It was a stressful experience, but I feel a lot better and love the blog support! We spent the last week in Boise and it was a nice trip. It's funny because we have been in Walla Walla since the beginning of January and so by the end of February I was itching to get a little trip going. My dad and sister weren't there, but we spent a lot of time with RaeAnn and Paul. We watched some good shows, and ate some yummy food. Grace loves eating out, can you tell?? Nolan spent most of the time recovering from the good ol' Swine flu. Luckily none of us have shown symptoms, so I hope it is out of our lives forever. He enjoyed working in downtown Boise. I got a few inches of my hair cut and the kids and I spent a lot of time outside. Grace caused a little trouble when she found a tube of lipstick somewhere in the house. Not mine seeings how I left my makeup at home!! Luckily it only ended up on her face.
So things here are tense since we got home. We are leaving in 8 days for a seven week trip. It's off to Arizona for a week, then Washington D.C. I feel like we have a "to do list" a mile long. Yesterday we got locked out of our house, and so hopefully that isn't a foreshadowing of the next 8 days here while we are getting ready for our big trip. If you have any favorite restaurants, or things to do in D.C. let us know. We're especially looking for things to do with kids.

that is definitely my lipstick...haha. Good thing I love Gracie. She looks adorable in that restaurant picture (as do the rest of you!!) I hope you get everything done you need to before DC and AZ. Those are 2 places I would love to visit right now :)

Also, tell Nolan I have some bad news...Harry Potter 7 Part 1 doesn't come out until NOVEMBER!! So we can't go to the midnight showing together. Bright side? Part 2 comes out in July of the next year, so we will definitely be going to that one. Plan on it! :)

I'm so excited for you guys to go on your trip! It will be fun (except the flight :) So you should definately hit the Smithsonians. I'm sure the kids could make it through one of them. If you and NOlan want a cool date, go to the Ford's Theatre where Lincoln was shot. They have fun plays and then you can see the historical stuff after. I loved visiting Washington's house, and the Washington monument and Lincoln monument. Oh, and maybe they give tours of the Pentagon still? That would be cool...and the white house! There's also this huge museum about the Holocust. It's crazy. And the library of congress is beautiful...I guess just do it all and be prepared to walk!!!

DC/AZ sounds like a band!! I AM SO LUCKY that you are coming here. Sorry for all the rest of you. Can't wait. We will talk DC when you are here. I added to my to-do-list for Gracie, a make-over.

We loved going to see the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence while we where there. Also, the Lincoln Memorial - we all got REALLY sick on that trip so we didn't get to see as much as we wanted. Monticello would be awesome to go see if you have a car. Take comfy shoes and dress warm. :)

Hi Ashley;
Your kids are so cute and getting so big. Sorry about the bad experience at the store. It is good there are people watching out for kids but she needed to know the whole story and not chew you out! Good luck in DC and have fun touring. I'd just go see all you can, your kids will survive cuz you need to experience it all, this is your chance. They won't like all the history of course but you will and do this for you!
