Last weekend we drove a couple hours to Wallowa Lake to do some camping.
When we told Thomas we were going, he was like, "Oh thank you mom, thank you so much!"
He and Grace loved every minute of it too, they're hilarious together these days. He and Grace were both so good and went to bed at nine and didn't wake up until 7:30. It was the first time I stayed in Nolans new tent, and I liked having the extra room.
It was definitely a success. There was a park at the campground which kept the kids entertained while Nolan cooked us our meals, and set up the tent.
On our last day there some friends met us there and we rode up the tram. Up top there are some neat trails with impressive overviews.
We didn't hike too much, I think a couple miles, but it was perfect with the kids. There were a ton of these little squirrels?
They were so use to people they would get so close and one kept going on Nolans shoe. I couldn't handle it, but it was pretty crazy.
Then we ate lunch up top and headed back down. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the streams that emptied into the lake. They thought the lake was too cold so they didn't swim, but Thomas made a ton of dams in the streams which he enjoyed. It was a beautiful place, and we had a lot of fun.

What fun! The picture of Grace on the slide is just darling!! I can't believe how blonde she is. The tent looks really nice. Glad you got to go!
Paul asked why you didn't invite us, and I have to echo. Why? oh Why? Keep posting cute stuff they say, 'cause that's my favorite.
I am glad the kids did so well. You sure have a nice tent. I love Thomas telling you thank you. It looks like a fun trip. I should probably enjoy camping more since Matthew loves it. Grace is so cute. I love her blonde hair.
When did Grace get so big?! Seriously!! And look how blonde her hair is!! I think Thomas is looking soooo much like Nolan. Awesome tent!
Looks like fun! Reminds me of a cold night on the wrong side of mountain going to Jackson. You looked a lot more prepared this go around. Wish we lived somewhere where we could take our kids camping...I guess we could here (people do) but I'm scared of gators, fire ants and the heat.

Those squirrels would freak me out too! Looks like fun. Your kids look a lot cleaner than mine ever do camping. How do you do it?
FUN!! We have yet to get out and camp, but hopefully we will before the snow comes. Your kids are so adorable! Grace is a little beauty! How cute is Thomas thanking you for taking him.
Oh my gosh, how cute are your kids?! I am so happy that the kids did so good. You guys are lucky, it makes family trips easier I bet! Such a cool tent too!
