I would really like to see an episode of Man Vs. Wild where he entertians, and keeps toddlers and babies happy, warm, and fed while camping.

I need some survival tips :-) I do feel like we get a little better every time we go.
Over last weekend we went camping again with our ward. It was a lot of fun, and the kids and Nolan were just as excited as they were a couple weeks ago. I don't know why Nolan likes it so much. He does so much work getting things loaded and unloaded, but he's happiest out in the woods.

People in charge of the activity made breakfast for us and provided activities so that was a huge plus.

I really like this campground. It's our third time there. The kids were really cute when we were setting up the tent. Grace handed Nolan the stakes, and Thomas got a rock and helped him hammer them in.

What was I doing? Oh you know, taking pictures, making sure we had all the good food around.

You got to love running water, plumbed bathrooms, a river with plenty of rocks to throw in it. The church owns it so we get to go for free, and even though fires are prohibited at most campgrounds right now, we were able to have on since it's considered private property. So I got to enjoy my favorite part of camping: Tinfoil dinners, and smores with NUTELLA. That's right, I camp so I can pig out. Thomas and Grace enjoyed sitting and staring into the fire.

Thomas started to really enjoy putting long sticks in the fire, he got pretty dirty with all the stick holding. Grace still loves her blanket ("mi mi") and sucking her fingers.

Anytime they are together it happens. I also really enjoy that camping forces us to unplug and enjoy our time together: No cell service, no internet, not tv. It's hard to do that at home.
Well next post I promise no camping!

You guys are quite the camping family, aren't you?? Well, once again I love all the pictures, though I do wish there were more with you in them! Oh, well. I love foil dinners...it's been too long.
I can't let my boys see this post, they will be jealous of all the camping you have done. I think camping is a great way to bond together as a family. Love tin foil dinners, just had them last week. I have never had smores with nutella, how do you do that? We have marshmellows with the chocolate strip cookies. Love them. Grace is so cute, her hair is getting so long!
Just remember that any time your up there and have a crisis.... I'm just down the road;) Looks like a great time and....smores with nutella.....hummmmm sounds like I need to try it!
I love the new family pic! So cute! Tin foil dinners are the best! I need to go camping! Grace is looking so grown up in your pics lately. Isn't it funny that boys just have to play with fire, boys will be boys!
Camping pros, now!! Love the pics, and cute new pic on the header. You are ITTTTY BITTTTY!!!!
I don't want to know what Bear is eating in that first picture :) But you're right, it is seriously hard WORK to go camping with little kids. . . . although Braydan does all the work like Nolan :) I just manage to be grumpy and eat lots of food like you! ha, ha. Love you
Real nice that you call to ask all about my weekend, and I didn't even ask about yours before my phone died! Glad you had fuN!! We had so much fun seeing you. Thanks for spoiling us like cri-zazy!
I'm way impressed with your camping family! I need to remind myself that the more we go the easier it will get. Plus it always help to see how much the kids love it - totally worth all the work, even though I can't wait to get them home and into the bath!
You guys are pretty rad to go camping all the time! I love all your pictures and the post below it too! Oh Nutella. . . let me count all the ways I love thee... I wish it wasn't so expensive to buy here, but maybe that's a good thing!
aaaand you are soooo skiiiinnny!!!! I love your new header picture!
Fun pics and fun times. I want smores with Nutella...hmmm but I don't want to go camping. Maybe the stove will have to do it. :)
Love that picture of you guys at the top!! Such a pretty family.
How fun! And I'm with you on the tin foil dinners thing, they are the best part of camping (if there is a best part)!
You guys are becoming quite the campers. Enjoy it while you're young. Nate and I would much rather hotel it anymore. We're getting too old to play in the dirt and sleep on the ground. Our poor kids! They're missing out, because camping can be pretty cool. Sounds like you're having a great time and "sort of" staying home!
