Halloween!! 2010

Since Halloween fell on Sunday this year and we don't celebrate on Sunday, we did it Friday instead. Walla Walla hosts quite the main street trick or treat, that all the businesses participate in and pass out candy. It's fun because it's earlier in the day and you can see all the costumes. I was sure this year I'd see an AVATAR, but there wasn't one:-( We did see a ton of Mario and Luigi brothers though. SO CUTE! I thought Thomas could have been a part of their group and been YOSHI. Thomas and Grace loved Main Street though, here he is trying to make a decision. It's never good to give my kids choices, takes way too long! Just hand them whatever one. Our cute little Tiger. Grace gets all the hand me down costumes until she's realizes she doesn't want to be animals anymore:-)After Main Street we went home and had some friends over for pizza and of course bike riding, it's all Thomas ever wants to do with friends now. I'm so glad the weather cooperated today. We woke up to rain, and by noon it warmed up to 60's/70's. Our church had a trunk or treat that night, and it was fun having the kids all play together while us parents talked and drank hot chocolate. There's a benefit to being in all 3 wards sometimes. It always makes me sad that my kids are getting older, and that we'll be out of this stage of life and onto school age before I know it, but some things are just getting better and easier. Halloween is a good example. Each year gets more fun with the kids. They both held their own bags, said trick or treat, didn't complain about being carried and couldn't get enough celebrating. Sometimes it is weird not having a baby around anymore, but I have to say we get a lot more done and are so much more active with both kids being older. And they are only 4 and 2! I can only imagine when they're 10 and 8.

So cute!! We are doing our festivities tonight! Can't wait! I can relate with you and things getting easier, it is so nice when they take care of the basic things on their own! That is why we have such a gap with our two boys and this little one on the way. HAppy HALLOWEEN!

What fun! I'm suprised they didn't do it Saturday. We are trick or treating tonight. (Sat) Possibly in the RAIN! Such fun! Love all the candy, they got lots!

So cute!!! I love their outfits! As a side note, I saw the coolest outfit on campus yesterday. This guy was dressed up as mario and carrying around a boombox that played the scary music from when you're in the ghost castles and he had three guys following him that were wearing white boxes on their heads with the ghost faces painted on them. Then, every time he turned around, they would all cover their faces and look away. it was way funny

Oh so cute! Mason got reallly excited looking at your pictures cause he's going to be a dinosaur too! I like the idea of going trick or treating in town during the day too. Sounds lots more kid friendly :)

I love the costumes! I think I would take Thomas's pile of candy, it looks like he has a lot more chocolate and Grace has a lot of suckers and smarties.

Statistics show that parents eat half of their kids candy. With you, I'd say maybe more like60-40 for you, and I think you know who the 60 goes to...anyway, love those little animals of yours!

I agree with RaeAnn :) And how come Thomas has more chocolate and Grace got all the lame suckers? Smart boy. Where is your costume girlie? You were supposed to be Avitar.

They are so cute! And it is awesome that with age, lots of things get easier. (i've just found that attitudes increase too, but that's another story!) And Macie & Hunter know all about hand me down costumes too, and for now, they are very happy with it. Yay!

Way cute costumes! I totally agree with you about the choices thing...if Beck gets a choice about candy he'll take forever to decide and then want to switch right after he makes a decision :) Beck and Thomas had similar costumes; such boys.

Thomas and Grace looked darling! Glad you had a good Halloween. We got 2 sets of trick or treaters! We did get done with beets the
30th though so that was great!

If you thought this was good try one of these...
