What a Weekend!

It started with a great St. Patricks Day. We did a treasure hunt that I got off Pinterest here. And they got a couple little presents and treats. The rest of the day the kids had a blast with cousins. Saturday night at 8 our power turned off for 12 hours, it's the longest I've gone without. Oh I hope we can get more prepared, gives me a huge respect for the pioneers!
Sunday last night Thomas and I were playing connect 4 and I could see that he had 2 adult teeth growing in behind his two bottom teeth. It was a huge surprise, I was thinking we'd maybe start noticing this in a year, not preschool. He did get his first 2 teeth when he was 2 months old, so I shouldn't be surprised the adult teeth would come in early as well. When I felt the baby teeth one of them was so loose. So with the bribe of a cookie, he let us pull it. He was thrilled and laughing and wanted to tell his cousins, grandparents, and teacher as soon as possible. The tooth fairy gave him $1, which is more than the $.25 I grew up with...inflation I suppose?? He was pretty ecstatic waking up and finding it under his pillow, cute guy.It makes me sad, kids start looking awkward to me when they're big teeth start growing in all strange haha. He seems so old to me now. I really hope that he has good teeth like every parent. He still looks cute to me, so hopefully it stays that way :-) The new ones seem to be growing behind the baby teeth, is that normal? And to not leave out Grace, here's a couple of pictures of her. She is pretty comical these days. She is always shaking her hips at us with her hands on her waist. Ever since she got a pillow pet for Christmas it has become part of the family. We introduce it at family night, she prays for it, and it even gets a turn when we're playing board games. She loves making forts for her. I've been having a hard time keeping her awake some days from her naps. It's crazy because when Thomas was 2 he really started fighting the naps and she took them so easily until she was 3 and still would, but whenever I give her a nap she stays up until 10:30. But if I leave her alone for very long and don't hear her, she's usually passed out somewhere so I need to figure out what to do there. If I wake her up an hour into her a nap, she is SO GRUMPY until bed. Anyways, just another difference between her and Thomas I suppose. Thanks for the compliments on my ginormous stomach. Less than 2 weeks and it's growing strong. Dr.'s appt. tomorrow, so here's hoping something will happen soon, but not until after the premier of the Hunger Games movie this week right!?!?!

I've been so out of the blogging world for a while I wondered if I would find new baby pics... soon it sounds like! I can't believe Thomas has started losing baby teeth, that does seem like such a "grown -up kid" thing to do. :)

That's great about Thomas' tooth! Once you start to see the big ones coming in, those little ones need to get out of the way fast, or they will come in too far back. That was happening to Jesse. That is so good that he let you pull it out! Jesse wouldn't let us touch his! (He just barely lost his first tooth.) Grace is probably still adjusting to the time change. I know my kids are. Zeb crashes about 5:30 or 6. Your sweet baby is just waiting until you see the Hunger Games before she/he gets here. So considerate.

I somehow missed your pregnancy post! Very brave Ashley. You are still so little too me. I can't wait to know what it is!!
Thomas looks cute without a front tooth! Now Heidi and him match. I can't wait to see him. I have no pointers on the naps...hard transition for some kids, and so hard to not let her sleep a little. Too bad she wakes up grump, because sometimes 10 minutes makes the biggest difference. But not if they are still grumpy.

I can't believe his teeth are coming out!?? That's crazy. I love his happy smile :) Eliza is funny about naps too. I sent her to her room for throwing a fit today and found her sound asleep. I still give her a two hour nap, but then she goes to bed later then Kaleb, like at 8:30. We tried skipping the naps, but she's a monster and would fall asleep at dinner and everywhere :) It's a tricky phase I think.

First I feel like it would be so awesome to have 2 sets of teeth...what??? like evolutionary awesome.

Second, I'm having day time nap issues with Amelia too...though bigger kids, bigger problems (as my mom always says), so you win.

THIRD AND NOT LEAST I HEARD THERE IS A NEW BABY GIRL IN OUR MIDST...I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT TO MEET HER IN MAY, CAN'T CAN'T WAIT, LIKE I MIGHT JUST COME OUT THERE NOW.

Okay, out of my system, sorry, super excited though.

If you thought this was good try one of these...
