Thomas is 6!!

 Thomas turned 6 last Sunday. We had such a great time celebrating him. He's such a great kid and I really feel so lucky to have him.

 I never dreamed of having a child who is so obedient and smart. He brings so much to our family, and I think he's a great big brother to his two little sisters who hopefully will follow in his footsteps.

Oh and he's a handsome guy, I love his brown eyes. I also love how quick he is to laugh or smile. He really is happy most of the time. He actually assigns me days in the week that I am allowed to tickle him. He pretends like he doesn't like it, but on my tickle days he makes sure I know I am allowed and it's one of the things we love doing together.

 He loves games, and has played many of our challenging strategic games. He's very much a rule follower and doesn't stand for any cheating even if I am making it in his favor :-)

 To start the party off, my brother Danny and his family came over Wednesday last week and spent the night, the next day we went to Boise. We had a great trip there, I am so sad we didn't take a single picture. But we went to the Boise temple open house which was beautiful and so fun to be inside with my kids. I asked Thomas what his favorite part was and he said the celestial room. Actually he said, "You know that room with the tall ceiling and big lights and we were quiet in." I'm glad he could feel the spirit there. We also went to Costco which is my kids FAVORITE grocery store :-) Free samples are the best. Saturday was all about him. We woke up and went to this fun place called WAHOOZ. There was bowling, laser tag, an arcade area, and a huge kids play place. He said his favorite was buying candy with the tickets he won playing the arcade games. He makes me laugh. We then went to IHOP which he's been wanting to do ever since he saw commercials of the Lorax being at IHOP. Well he loved it and ate all his food in like 5 seconds. They sang to him and brought him ice cream. His face was so red, but he told me that it's his favorite restaurant. He got a Star Wars light saber from his Blodgett cousin and was pretty thrilled about that. We headed home so we could be with Nolan Sunday for his real birthday. He woke up to his favorite breakfast of crepes, and we had another party that night after church. We did manage to get pictures of that.

 We played games, then he wanted to open his presents first, so we obliged. He was so giggly and excited when he opened them. I love how grateful he is.

Here's his gifts. Check out the gap on his top teeth. He lost his 3rd tooth just a few days before his birthday. Glad we got his 6 year old pictures taken beforehand!

He just loved the Hot wheels track that both sides of Grandparents got him.  It's been a HUGE hit, and I think he played with it for 3 hours that night.

 Even most of us adults watched it go around and up in the air over and over for awhile. They're pretty cool, now if I can get some rechargeable D batteries we'll be in Business!

 I don't know if I am getting lazier, or if my kids are asking for easier cakes, but man were these two a breeze, basketball and baseball were all he wanted. Reeses did the trick for the bball, and Nolan hand iced the baseball. Happy Birthday Thomas you are worth every second of the 39 hours of labor you put me through!
