At the beginning of May, I decided it was time for us all to get haircuts. I cut about 3 inches off my hair, then came home and did the same to Grace.
It was becoming quite the chore to brush her hair everyday. The girl has a seriously sensitive head! So she agreed it was time to go short for summer. It's been great. He hair is so nice, it dries so well, I hardly have to do it with this length.
Then on May 8th, our 9 year anniversary, we took Thomas in to get his tonsils out. He has had strep 5 times this past year, and we've been told they are really large since he was a baby, so it was time.
The recovery wasn't as terrible as I was expecting, but it was a little over 2 weeks before he started feeling totally healed. He was a great patient, and so brave. He had his otter beside him the whole time. When he was coming out of anesethia he scared the nurses because he stood up in his bed and started throwing sheets and pillows looking for otter. They had taken him while he was getting it done. Silly goose.
He didn't really change his eating habits. People were shocked by that, but he still wanted to eat everything we did. Nights were the worst because his throat would get dry while he slept. He missed about a week of school, but we know it will be so much better in the long run.

I love Grace's hair! Where is the picture of yours??
I think I could've done without the picture of the tonsils in a cup...haha but I am proud of brave Thomas, I have been too scared all my life to get my big tonsils out! Gracie's hair looks great..why no picture with your new do (dew? due?)?
Did you take the tonsils out of the cup and chase grace and Thomas around with them...That would've probably left some scars of the internal variety, but still pretty fun for you...
Don't TELL me that those are his tonsils in that cup! EWWW!
Sad to see him in a hospital, but to a kid, that is like the greatest thing ever.
I am glad he recovered better than i!
You did not add your blog to my blog list! HeLLO!
Where's the pic. of your haircut? I'll have to imagine it. Poor thomas :( Glad he is tough and getting better.
Yea, where is your picture? Grace looks so cute. I'm glad that is behind Thomas now.
So glad Thomas is doing better. I still remember the day I had my tonsils out. Loved all the fuss. I love any post that you do, love knowing about your family.
