Building A House Part 2

Wow things have really been moving in the month of August! They started of framing it. It's been so awesome to walk through the floor plan and really get a feel for where the rooms will all be and how it's all going to come together. Nolan can visualize it pretty well with a floor plan, but I love seeing the walls up! They also started putting up the smart siding, and the roof! To say our house has been confusing is an understatement. Seems like with all the angles and roof pitch it has taken them twice as long but we are loving the end result. We go out every night and check on things. Once the builders were still there and I apologized for having such a cooky angled house. They laughed and said they enjoy the challenge, but haven't had one with that many 45 degree angles ever! They're doing great though. Nolan has had them redo a few things, but overall I'm happy with how it's going.
This is the view from the road. There will be a lot more windows cut out, but you are looking at our Master bedroom, the big opening in the middle is our front door, and to the right of that is the office window and then the garage.
Here is the view of the basement. Dining room top left, middle, living room, and right side will be the master. Below it on the right are Thomas and Grace's rooms.
View from the garage driveway
View from the front door. Kitchen is where the board and ladder are, dining room juts out, and living room is on the left. Until next month! I'm afraid there won't be too much to report then because I think on the lineup next is plumbing, electrical, heating and air, and our well and sewer being done. All important but not as easy to see progress :-)
