18 months!

It's always fun to play the who looks like who game with your children. After looking at all of these shots of my babies and Nolan at 18 months, it's insane how similar they all are. It's not a true comparison without pictures of me here, but I tried and cannot figure out how to scan mine in. But just know they look a lot like me too. I think Nolan and I have a lot of similar features.
Thomas is the most like Nolan. I claim his hair color, and type, and his face shape and chin. Also as he has gotten older I think he is looking more like me at that age than Nolan.
Grace has my eyes and nose, but I think her face shape and blond, soft, hair come from Nolans genes. I think she'd look much more like the rest if she had the expression they all do in their shots too.

Emma is very similar to Thomas. The biggest difference is that her face is the thinnest of the three. While I am at it I need to jot down a few things to remember 18 month Emma by.
-She is our cuddle bug and after bed or naps she wants us to cuddle her with her binki, blanket, and pillow. She loves resting her head on peoples shoulders.
-Books always distract her from anythings sad.
- Like all my kids, when there is music, there is dancing, and when I'm tickling and rough housing with the other two she always wants in on the action.
-She'll do somersaults on command, and loves to play pretend sleep and wake up game.
-She will love on cats, dolls and babies like no one else. I'm fearful for our baby in her hands! A cat licked her last week and I saw her grab it's ears and lick its' mouth in return.
-When she's done eating she throws everything from her high chair to the floor. It's driven me a bit bonkers, but at least not I will get her out and she will pick it up. She uses her mouth to pick it up mind you, but is cleaning up after herself!
-She's our first kid to not love nursery, and always cries. Neither of us can help her because of our callings, but she's crying less.
-If she's outside she's miss independent. There are about 3 cats that hang around our yard and they love her no matter how wrongly she holds them. I'm so sad the weather is getting colder, she'll have to start loving the indoors.
-She still wakes up at night about 70% of nights. I wish I could figure it out. We did a week of crying it out, and she would be awake for about 2 hours. We have gotten her and watched a show, fed her, gave her a bottle. Nothing solves the 1-3 waking. Reminds me a little of Thomas except he never slept through the night til' he was 3, and he'd wake up hysterical no matter what we did for him for hours. She is content if we are with her.
-She loves playing in water. Puddles, the sink, and bath time. This has happened many times where we give her a bath and take her out when she is done, but then if someone else gets in she will get back in fully clothed and ready for bed. Silly girl!

And here is the latest but not so greatest belly shot. 34 weeks. It actually looks fine here, but in reality I'm bigger! Seriously stick a basketball in your shirt and you'll understand. While I am feeling well and am fine waiting for this baby to fully cook, I can't believe I have 6 more weeks. It seems like I should deliver tomorrow. My body is definitely sending me signals that it's nearing the end which I don't remember in previous pregnancies as much. It's so exciting. We have decided on the name James Jett Harper. We've both always loved James. I wanted the first name to be Blodgett, after my maiden name, but Nolan vetoed that idea so Jett as a middle name was born. My dad also had the nickname "The Jet" so it pays tribute to that as well. I can't decide if I spell it with a double T or not. What do you think? At least after this post I will know what he'll look like!

Wow, you really are pregnant!!! That is not a comment on how huge you are but just that I never see you so it doesn't feel real. You are adorable. Your kids are all so cute. It is funny because I think they all look quite a bit different from Nolan's picture there but that is just me. I want to see your picture. 6 more weeks....CRAZY! I want to be there. And you decided on a name. It is cute! love ya

I can't wait to see you! Your kids are not just cute, they are like model-babies. Not in the weird way that models are mean or looks-obsessed or anything, just in the way that they could rock a runway. Also, you are kind of like a stage mom. Just sayin. jokes.
I love the name and I can't decide: two T's or one?!? What if his middle name is actually 'the jet'? Has a nice ring to it, especially if he is a future male model.

Oh my gosh, I totally wanted to do Blodgett for a boy name too, and Tommy said he thought it was a bad idea. I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked that. :)

Oh my gosh...6 weeks, you've got this!!! I feel like James Jett might be a rockstar and marry Joan Jett's great grandson and have Jetty babies that hike BlodJETT canyon all the time to 'get back to their roots' all the while trying not to sing songs that their parents wrote because they 'have their own voice'....in other words, I like it.

I love the name! Classic but cool with that middle name : ) I can't believe you have 6 weeks left! Emma reminds me of Jane with all those things : ) except sleep! That is not fun. She is just keeping you conditioned for a newborn sleeper: )

I totally thought I was looking at a picture of Thomas at 18 months (that first pic on top) when I got on your blog... him and Nolan totally look alike! Your kiddos are darling and I love the name James for number 4 - all of their names go really well together. And not that my 2 cents matters, but I like Jett with 2 t's. :) I hope you start getting more sleep before James gets here! You look awesome!

If you thought this was good try one of these...
