My sister RaeAnn visited a month ago and said she would not even recognize James if he were in a baby line up, so that was my cue to do a post about this cutie and what he's up to! He weighs a wopping 15.5 pounds (15%), and 27 inches (60%) tall. First of all this boy is almost 7 months! He is a busy boy for sure. But stays so content by exploring, watching his siblings and playing. He is such a great baby! I went to Logan a week ago and have 3 friends all with babies close in age.
They're babies were so content to sit in their moms laps and play with a toy, while James is wrestling to get out of my arms, and crawling around the room. A lot of people want to hold him, but it is short lived because it really is exhausting trying to keep him held! I was nursing him at church the other day next to another lady with a baby a few weeks younger and we were both laughing because while most kids lie pretty lifeless when they are eating, he is kicking and hitting, and trying to crawl up to my face. Makes for staying covered almost impossible.
He also got his two bottom teeth and loves eating anything and everything in sight. He eats about 3 baby food jars a day mixed with cereal, and still breastfeeds 6-8 times. The other day one of his cousins was playing with him and yelled to me that "James ate a moth." Sure enough I reached in there and found not just a moth, a scared for its' life, living moth. Not quite the source of protein I want him to have, but better than a cigarette bud that I found in Thomas' mouth at about this same age.
These two are best buds. James crawls around following Thomas every move and laughs so hard when Thomas turns around and yells BOO! I have a couple matching pieces for these two and I LOVE IT.
We had some visitors 2 weeks ago in the form of Aunt Chip and Oliver. These two can never get their acts together when they get photographed, but Oliver has caught up to James in size, and holds his own when they lay next to each other. James doesn't mind.
I wish I could say he is sleeping through the night, but he still wakes up A LOT! Last night was our record of waking up just once, but I think it might have had something to do with going to bed at 10, and getting up at 6. Still not the best sleep record. Hopefully we will get there soon.
I think my favorite thing of late is how much James seems to love me. He searches a room for me, and wiggles to get to me if someone else has him. He will stand up to my legs when I'm in the kitchen, and nod his head til I get him. OOOOh I love this little guy!

I always want that perfect mom-child picture that looks candid, and you just got it! So cute! Such a great post!!
Aah! What a sweet post! What a cute boy, who is growing up so fast! And hooray for you still breast feeding! We both seriously need to get moved in and done with our house projects so we can have time to hang out sometime!!
James sounds exactly like Reef at that age! Can't wait to hear more about the house!
oh I love that last picture...that is so cute!! Man, Oliver looks so much more chunky than I thought in that picture with Oliver haha. I am excited for them to be best friends :)
He is so cute and it was fun to read all about him.
He's so adorable!! I am catching up on your blog!!
He's a cutie, I love that picture of you and him laying down! I can't believe he's 8 months now, right?? I love reading your blog, I feel less crazy for having busy babies who won't sit still, or nurse under a cover, or sleep!
