I had to find a good way to keep the water out of her tubes in her ears and this ear warmer thing did just the trick to keep the ear plugs in. She liked lessons okay, but definitely didn't learn much.
Grace and Thomas were both in level 3. They worked on learning a lot of the strokes. I love having them in the same class. It's fun to watch them help each other.
Thomas passed off his level but I think we'll keep him in it another year til he gets a little bigger. The next level is just constant stroke practice. The best part of lessons this year was our group at the Burley pool. My sisters in-law Holly and Tayna both had their kids doing it the same time so we would sit on the sidelines and chat away while the kids swam.
We got away to Ross Park at the end of the summer and the kids had fun getting back into the water. I'm missing a lot of people in this picture, but it was a great time.
We are so happy in our new house and I thought the kids would be really missing their yard, but they had a blast this summer playing in dirt piles, and finding all sorts of creatures. Here's a lizard they caught.
We had Back to School night and met both Thomas' and Grace's teachers. I am really happy about both classes. Thomas will have 15 kids in his class, and is with the same teacher he had last school year, Mrs. Richins. She's fabulous.
Grace will have 33 kids. Bless her teacher, Mrs. Boden! She will go Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and couldn't be more excited.
This was their actual first day of school. They were so excited, I think they waited 10 minutes for the bus. I have a hard time leading up to school and the first week. Feels so weird to have them leave so much, but it's good and part of life. I feel old sending two kids. I'm almost 30!

Everytime I see a picture of your kids it makes me so happy... almost that sad kind of feeling because I just love them so much! Just heart-tugging, you know?
Can't believe how many kids are in Grace's class! Guess you will be volunteering a lot this year!
My kids would pick dirt to grass hands down.
I love the swimming lessons. Now all you guys have to do is build a gigantic pool next to your gigantic house!!!
I can't believe how big your kids are getting! Looks like they had a lot of fun during the summer.
Fun swim lessons!! Only 15 in Thomas's class...that is pretty awesome! They are so cute! oh and nothing is better then some good old dirt!
