It was so fun to be in Boise while Nolan was there too. Much of my life is spent catering to either the older two kids and we go out and play while the younger two get tired and grumpy, or I cater to the youngest 2 and they stay home and get great naps and meals, but the older two are bored.
Having Nolan there was the perfect chance for everyone to get what they want. He took the kids to breakfast one morning while I slept in with the younger two. Then during naps they all went to Wahooz and played there for 2 hours while I stayed with the napping babes. We also did things together, but the highlight was spending time with my dad watching conference.
During Priesthood session I was able to meet up with my best friend from high school, Katie Walker. It is so fun to get together, and I wish it were more than just a semi annual occurrence. I know these pictures have nothing to do with my rambling, but I had to recap and these are the only pictures from our weekend there.
On our last day there we met up with another girl I knew in high school to get our pictures taken. This is the first time we've actually done professional pictures, and I'm so happy to have them. They turned out wonderfully, and the place we took them was GORGEOUS with the fall change.
Grace was the trickiest to keep happy this day, and I guess it served her well being grumpy because she got the most shots, and they're beautiful. She's so photogenic.
These two are best buds. They can always find a way to cheer each other up.
I'm not sure which family picture we will pick yet, but this is a top contender.
James never made a peep. Pretty chill baby for sure!
My favorite of James Jett. All those teeth!
It's pictures like these that make me step back and think, I made them. Those are all my kids!
Thomas didn't complain about pictures the whole time either. He is just a few weeks from his 8th birthday and his baptism. More on him in a later post, but wow he is growing into such a handsome boy!
I just love his four big adult teeth on top. I'm glad we captured his smile.
And then we have Emma Jean. She is such a spunky girl. I have taken her in to get milestone pictures take and few times and left without any because she'd never cooperate.
I've also tried many times to get some good pictures, but no luck. I still don't have that one perfect smile of a picture, but her personality is in these and the looks I see from a daily basis :-)
She wanted to be held in every picture, so as Tim Gunn would say, "We made it work."
She rocks the serious face pose. Those brown eyes!
Glad you can't see the chocolate from the treats she was devouring after each shot.
"Emma, show us your belly!"
And now look away, two lovebirds are making their way on screen.
Until next year when we'll have baby #5 to take pictures of.
Totally kidding, just seeing if your still reading.
