Meet Kimberly. Some pretty exciting things are happening for her. Aside from the fact that today she turns that amazing age of 18, she is graduating from high school too. She is planning on attending BYU-Provo and it makes me a little nostlagic thinking that she will be there just 5 years after I was. My relationship with Kimberly hasn't always been the easiest or the most friendly, I think I was always a little jealous she took my place as youngest in the family. In the past couple of years we have grown so close.
We've been through a lot together since we were the last two ones at home for a few years. One thing that really sticks out was a horse riding accident we had together. Kimberly fell off and her foot got stuck in the stirrup and she was dragged for a moment. I'll never forget holding her in my arms while we raced to the hospital trying to keep her from falling asleep. After 2 weeks in the hospital she made it, but it was very close. I always feel so lucky that she made it through that.
She's a fighter!
She's patient
She laughs at almost everything I do, and that always makes me feel good.
She has a great heart and is an awesome friend.
She is so great with Thomas and he says her name which is unusual for him.
She is so smart, I mean she got into BYU didn't she.
She is a great example of reading scriptures each night and saying her prayers.
I am going to miss her so much when she leaves but hope she has a great experience. After going to 3 different high schools, she deserves a good college experience. I couldn't be more proud of who she has turned out to be. Love you sister! Hope you have a Happy 18th birthday!

I am with you there- sisters are the best! I have 4 sisters and we are the best of friends and I also have an 18 year-old sister and she is one of my favorite people in the world. Yay for sisters!
Gosh, she seemed so young when we started at BYU. ALL grown up! Was it really that long ago that we started our days at Heritage Halls? "if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down." When you put that in the bathroom that first week, I was like, "who is this girl?!" and then I quickly loved you. haha.
That was a cute post Ashley. It sounds fun to me to go back to BYU. crazy I know....even going to class seems fun. Kimberly is such a cute girl. And I am SOOOO excited for Raeann. That is awesome. I hope the kids are doing better sleeping together and everything. Love ya

There is nothing better in life than a sister. Poor Heidi. I can't believe she fell off a horse and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Scary. I'm glad you have been able to spend so much time with her this last year. You are an awesome sister too!

I love the posts you do about your family members! It's fun to read about them and see how much you care for them - Kimberly sounds awesome. I'm really close to my little sister too and I can't imagine life without her - thank goodness for sisters!
Baby Kimbers is 18?? Thank you Ashley for this post. It is so good for all of us to think about those that are the most important to us. May I say that you three sisters are quite beautiful. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Kimberly! Love you all so much!
