Have you ever bit off more than you can chew? That is how I felt this weekend. I went to a local orchard and bought 130 pounds of peaches for $72. There was so much I wanted to do with them and was so excited to get it all done. Luckily Nolan, my friend Camille, and Chris helped us.
Our end result was:63 quarts of peaches
21 jars of freezer jam
a batch of fruit leather and 2 batches of dehydrated peaches
1 peach pie
4 peach smooties
1 bag of frozen vacumm sealed peaches
11 peaches to enjoy
So what did Thomas and Grace do while we were elbow deep in peaches? Played trains outside. This really did entertain them for a long time.
We were beat by the end of the day, but able to enjoy the beautiful sunset and a weekend of conference. What a fulfilling and uplifting activity! I'm so grateful for the beauties of the earth. It really does make me feel hope and loved.

Holy Moly Ashley! That's what I did last year and guess what? I didn't have to do ANY this year. So unless you eat peaches everyday, you won't have to do them next year either! I'm so proud of you! Great job! These are the first pictures of the new place I've seen, it looks really nice. Great job!

Great job! You'll love having your peaches. I always say, "What was I thinking?" When I am in the middle of it all, but then when we are enjoying delicious peaches year round it was worth it!

Wow, that is impressive! We bought 2 boxes of peaches and only canned 7 quarts. We loved just eating them and I made several peach pies and lots of milk shakes with peaches blended in. Yum
