So you don't get pictures of our week together, but I do have a few of the awesome snow fort Nolan made with the kids the other day.

A Week has Passed...
You can ignore the previous post. I was sharing a card I made on Shutterfly to get a $25 credit, if I did so. Anyways, this past week has flown by. It feels like we are constantly on the go here. Our Thanksgiving was a great one spent at home. We had friends over and each made all our favorite dishes.
6 Appetizers, Prime Rib for dinner, and 4 pies for dessert. It was a lot for just 4 adults and 2 kids, but we we all very satisfied! Two days after Thanksgiving we pulled out the Christmas decorations and went all out. Nolans parents have gotten a set of the Little People Nativity the last few years for them and it was fun to pull them out and teach the kids about why we celebrate Christmas.
The kids loved putting the the decorations. Grace will just lay under the tree at night and look at the lights. It's so sweet! I can't believe we're just a few weeks away from Christmas!
A few days after Thanksgiving my older sister RaeAnn and her little girl Jenna came and stayed with us for 3 nights. We only wish Paul could have been with us too, but he was working. We had so much fun shopping, making hair bows, eating yummy food, playing all kinds of the Wii and we went to Harry Potter. I knew I was forgetting one thing and that was taking pictures. I am so bummed! It was really nice to be around her and see Jenna's cute little personality. RaeAnn is such a great mom and it's always nice to be around another mom and pick up good new tips or habits they do. She was the center of attention for Grace and Thomas too. They love reading and playing with her. She is such a great aunt. Not sure if I could take on 3 kids right now though, we definitely were kept busy with two of us in charge. Thanks RaeAnn! Can't wait to see you at Christmas.

So all our snow had melted from a big rainstorm we had, and today it is back and then some. It is snowing so hard and fast I love it. Walla Walla is nice that way because we get snow, it melts and comes back a few days later. Keeps the roads clear and clean!
Walla Walla is annoying in the fact that I got a speeding ticket today. This is the second I've gotten in my life, and truly so frustrating. I was driving home a girl from Thomas' preschool and was in dropping her off at her cousins house so I hadn't been there before and was a little lost. All of a sudden a cop is pulling me over. I'm confused because I was going 25 looking at street names trying to find this place. I thought maybe I had rolled through a stop sign. He informed me I was in a school zone and was 5 over. There was no flashing lights so I was totally unaware. Stinking Walla Walla is old school that way. He said there was a sign a block back, but I must have missed it as I was handing the kids things from the front seat to keep them occupied. My ticket came to $190, and I am so mad! There are so many things I want to do with that money instead especially at Christmas time. UGH! Oh well, there's my vent!

Sounds like you guys had a very fun and yummy Thanksgiving! And had fun with RaeAnn (though I am jealous I couldn't be there). Can't wait til Christmas!!
Prime Rib for Thanksgiving Seth would love that! Maybe next year!I'm loving your tree, it looks like we decoate our's the same with the red ribbon wrapped around! I haven't seen HP yet, I have heard it is really good. Nice fort, and nice backyard!
Looks like a delicious Thanksgiving feast! Great job on making everything! Looks like kids are having fun in the snow, we wish ours wouldn't blow away. Bummer about your speeding ticket. That totally STINKS. That would have made me mad too.
Love the pics. I hate getting tickets. I'm paranoid for weeks afterwards. Sorry about the steep price. I know you'll have a fun Christmas anyway, you guys always do!
ughh so sorry Ashley. I can't believe all the snow you have gotten. It snowed here for the first time on December 1st but it didn't hardly stick. Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving
love ya
NO!!! Can't believe you got that killer of a ticket! No wonder you were late coming home!
Such a fun week with you! I haven't wanted to stay on vaca so bad since Hawaii!!!
Love youso!
wow, your thanksgiving meal sounded positively divine!!!! we didn't eat a turkey either, just some huli huli chicken! i can't even imagine snow right now, that must be so fun for your kids! i remember when i got a speeding ticket, i was so scared to come home and face my dad. haha!
That's so sweet how Grace will stare at your tree! I love how much Beck loves our tree too - and we have the same Little People nativity - so fun! And sorry about your ticket, that is extremely frustrating...it's times like those I wish cops would go find someone actually deserving of such an expensive ticket and leave me alone! Your sister sounds wonderful, I'm glad you guys had that time together!
your thanksgiving sounded wonderful and your Christmas decorations look really nice! The kids are so darling! Thanks for posting!
Sorry you got a ticket! That really does stink right before Christmas. Love your decorations.
Sounds like a great Thanksgiving and visit with RaeAnn! It's the best getting out x-mas decorations and playing in the snow. I wish ours melted away like in Walla Walla so the roads were better. So sorry about the ticket! SO unfair!
LOOK AT THAT SNOW! We are in the 70s here all week!
That ticket is RIDICULOUS. OUCH!!
Amen to all the others comments! I love reading your blog and knowing what's up with the Harper's!
Love that you love your sisters! You got the Aunt thing right - it's the best.
I'm so mad he gives you a ticket! that is so unfair. We go 5 over the speed limit all the time. I got my first ticket too but it was because of a seat belt but he pulled me over cuz I was in a area I was unfamiliar with and changing lanes too much. But my ticket was only $20. WA has stiff fines! Jessica's seatbelt violations were $150 I think!
Thanks for telling on me Mom : ) Yeah, I got a ticket on my STREET for not having a seatbelt on. I had just pulled out of my house and didn't have it on yet and $150 ticket!! Sadness. So lucky you got to have your sis their for a week. Can't wait for Christmas either!
That stink about your ticket! Your Thanksgiving meal sounds so good. And I love your tree. We have no tree this year since we just moved and are still in corporate housing. I'll have to live vicariously thru you.
What a fun Thanksgiving and fun to get ready for Christmas. Can't believe it is just around the corner. I'll need your prime rib recipe, I've beent thinking about doing that for Christmas.
