Christmas 2010
Whew Christmas this year was one awesome party after another.
We left a few days before Christmas and spent 4 nights there with my dad. Kimberly was home from college, Ben and his family came, and RaeAnn and her family were with me too.
We had such a great Christmas Eve. We ate a meal of fettuccine, and amazing Omaha steaks. Then we drove around and looked at lights and sat on Santa's lap.
Once we got home, we rein-acted the Nativity story. I convinced Kimberly to be the donkey, and Thomas (Joseph) was so sweet to hold JudyGail's (Mary's) hand to make sure she stayed on top of her.
Grace was a shepard, and if you look below on the left of the picture you'll see her lone sheep. I was surprised how serious the kids took their roles. Ruth E. was a great wise man.
After that we just played games and Grace and Ruth showed us their flexibility skills.
I have to include this picture of Grace. We agreed to wake up at 8 o'clock Christmas morning, and at that time, Grace and Thomas were still asleep so we woke them up. Thomas was excited, but Grace was pretty out of it until she saw her presents.
All the grandkids Christmas morning.
The present that got the most attention from Thomas was a little people boat, and Grace was in love with all the candy, I couldn't keep her from it. And that is where my documentation ends because I have no other pictures. We went to Malta for four great nights also. We went snowmobiling, ate yummy meals, watched movies, played games, had a dancing party, minute to win it games, and rode tractors in a blizzard. It was so fun, there were 24 of us, and it was heaven for the kids with all the cousins. We stopped in Boise for one more night on our way home, and were able to go to the temple, and watch Harry Potter 7 again with Kimberly since Nolan hadn't seen it yet. Since being home Nolan and I have been sick with sinus infections, and some other virus. Nolan took this whole week off because of it, so he's been out of his office for awhile. Today is the first sign of it getting slightly better so hopefully we'll be good by Monday.
Since we got home, 2 new presents have made their way out since they were too big to travel with us. The first is the Grocery stand Nolan made, "Harper's Harvest."
It turned out great, and the kids love to make some food to order. The second was mine and Nolans big present, the ottoman. I have been wanting one for such a long time. I'm not sure who has enjoyed it more, the kids or Nolan and I.
They are constantly wrestling atop it, or jumping from the couch to it.

What a fun Christmas - I can't believe you had to wake your kids up at 8...that's awesome! (And that picture of tired Grace is classic.) Cute how much they love the ottoman, and funny how such random things can turn into your kids' favorite toys.
That is so nice and fun you were able to see so much of your family! The grocery and harvest stand is so cool! I always wanted those miniature kitchen's, cars, etc.! Nolan did a good job! I hope everyone is feeling better soon! Your kids are darling as ever!

What about your "pajama pants"? I bet Kimberly is disappointed you didn't include those!
