Sometimes I know I'm a Bad

BLOGGER! (This is a lot of writing sorry! Feel free to skip the ramblings to the star section of the post)

I'm glad for the friends and family who keep checking in on me, and making sure I'm still alive amidst the lack of blogs coming out of Harper Happenings lately. I've sat down and tried to put my finger on where my drive for posting has gone and why I don't have it as much now and I think I may have figured it out.
I feel like when I started this blog I needed the support and outlet it gave me because I had a hard time transitioning from being a newlywed, busy worker, college student to being a full time stay at home mom with a colicky challenging baby. Your comments and other posts helped me feel normal when I was stir crazy at home or feeling cooped up.

Then when I started getting the hang of that, and loving my life in Smithfield, I needed this blog to help me vent and get support about moving to Walla Walla, a place I'd never heard of or been, where I didn't know a single person. And it DID help. Your comments really gave me a boost of optimism, energy, confidence, and perspective.

Lately I have been really comfortable with my stage in life. Not just comfortable, but thriving and excited about where I am. The kids are in such great stages, they play together, obey so much more, and we are pretty free to do come and go as we want. We've made some great friends here. I feel like I am standing on a mountain I have overcome and am reaping the blessings of having took an obstacle or challenge in life and making the best of it.

So I think I haven't needed that outlet in blogging lately. Proof of that is in the last 3 months I've posted only 4 times, which I used to try and do 4 posts a week. Now I am going to focus on blogging more for the record keeping sake, until I do need it again for an emotional vent and place to hear from those I love cheering me on. I am sure something will come into our lives where I will need it for the other reasons again because isn't that just how life it? :-)

********
We have a few new obsessions this month. The first being P90X. At the end of December we cancelled our YMCA membership (some of you have heard why) and we've been wanting to work out as a couple more but with the colder weather and kids it is hard. So friends of ours let us borrow their P90X. We are on day 6 of workouts and it is so great. I remember doing one with my sister a couple months after I had had Grace, and thought, "It's just hard because I haven't worked out in 9 months." But here I am doing it again 2 years after having had a baby and it is still HARD as HECK! Both Nolan and I are enjoying the daily hour of working out together.

Online Shopping....At least they're always good deals I am getting right? I seriously woke up the begining of last week and told myself I was not going to buy anything that week, and not even four hours later I was purchasing something. Sure it was $5.00 still but it's the principle of the matter. Is it a bad thing when you have the number, expiration date, and CVC code memorized for your cc? Nuf' Said!

Game NIGHTS, we've been having them a lot lately. Also, a few families in our ward have been playing Mario kart online with our wii's at night and it is so fun! I challenge anyone who wants to join to let me know and you can be a part of our trash talking texts between races. Give me your number and we'll hook it up!!

I made a goal for myself to get the kids, and our family scrap booking completely caught up to January 2011, and achieved it. I ordered the kids books, and think I will order them each year now instead of every few years. The top is our family scrapbook and I do that with printed picutres and scrapbook paper. The bottom is Thomas' 100 page book I ordered from Shutterfly.com. Grace's isn't on here because it's in her room and she's asleep, but you get the picture (excuse the pun). Hers is 100 pages also from Snapfish.com, and I like them both the same. They're so fun to look through, and Thomas is constantly asking me to read me the book about Thomas. Now I have a problem because of this new found feeling of accomplishment of being caught up, I haven't taken a picture in over a month so the feeling will last a little longer! So I took these just for the post sake, (I don't know if I have ever posted without a single picture)

That's all for now, I will be doing love week in a couple weeks and invite any to join in on the fun! Happy FEBRUARY!

There you are! It seems like a lot of people have slowed down on the blogging world! Now that I don't work from home any more, I'm not at my computer like I used to be, so I have to remind myself to blog, where it was just a biweekly habit before. Anyways, glad you're here, and glad you're loving your stage in life!

I would like to hear the story of why you don't go to the YMCA anymore. I bet it's a good one! I have heard P90X is a killer. Great job on exercising and I'm sure Nolan loves doing it with you. I love, love, love the books. It makes me tempted to do mine that way! You are amazing! and, it's okay that you don't blog all the time. Just keep us updated every once in a while, you are super busy!

I'm glad to hear you are all good. KEEP BLOGGING...we miss you and love hearing what you are up to, but I get what you mean about not needing to do it. I am so proud of you for catching up on your books. I've gotta do it. And good for you on P90X. I've heard it is hard and great.

I was just thinking to myself that I hadn't read a post from you lately! I have also heard awesome things about P90X and I might have to look into it after this baby is born. I also LOVE your photo books. I have had the idea once to do one for each child, but I never followed through. Way to go staying on top of pictures. I am such a slacker in this area. Looking forward to your week of love... I think I might join the fun this year.

I love your books, you have inspired me to get with it and print up some for my boys. I hear ya on the blogging thing, lately it has felt like a chore for me. but I know I need to keep it up cause it is the only way for some of our friends and family to see us. I love online shopping, the shopping is so bad here it is the only way to go. I have missed your blogging but I am glad you are enjoying WW, and the stage of life you are in.

There you are! I was wondering :) Glad you guys are doing good. I have similar feelings of freedom and joy, but then I look around my house and feel like my work will never end! The good and bad of owning a house right? Good job on the scrapbooks. That is so special for your posterity.

If you thought this was good try one of these...
