Happy Late Easter

In our Sunday Best!
Easter weekend was a really great one. Nolan and I were talking the other day and realized that in the the 3 years we've lived here, this is the first time we've been in Walla Walla during the months of March-June. Last year we were in D.C. and the year before we were in Orofino, Id. So it's been nice to be here for spring, even if the wind is driving me nuts.
re, so in advance sorry for the overload.

We had a really great weekend. It started out earlier with a trip to tri-cities to go to the temple and spend some time with my aunt and uncle and cousin Toni. We had a great visit, and while we were in the temple they kept the kids very entertained with so awesome eggs they colored together and some art projects. I got pictures, but can't pull the off the cd? The had a blast, and when the time came to leave, the kids were bummed.Saturday morning we woke up and went to Nolans work for an Easter egg hunt. The kids had a lot of fun, there was so many eggs, I think each kid could get 14.It was a beautiful day that day so we went to the park for a couple hours, then to lunch. Thomas chose Apple-bees. I was thinking Taco Bell. He loves that place, and when the meal was over he grabbed the dessert menu, and casually says, "Now what are we going to get from here." My kind of guy! That night we had some friends over and ate dinner and played ultimate frisbee outside. Thomas was a great teammate! The next morning the Easter Bunny had come and Thomas got an art easel. One side is dry erase and the other is chalk. We have a better smiling picture of him, but he's hugging the easel and you can't see his writing. He is taking off right now with letters and numbers and trying to read in the last few months. He will write any letter you ask him and any number up to 20. I can't believe the things he is learning. I know I was in Kindergarten or first Grade before knowing how to sound words out and write them. Grace is my girlie girl. She loves carrying things around, and Princesses. So along with her new Easter dress and shoes, she got a phone, purse, and crown. And was very happy. These two are buddies, and I love their sweet attitudes towards each other. Grace loved her new dress, and kept twirling in circles even if it made her a little too dizzy! We're especially grateful for the reason we celebrate Easter and enjoyed celebrating our Saviors life and sacrifice for us so we can reach our ultimate goal of eternal life, because there is nothing I cherish more than knowing I will live forever with my family because of the atonement. And I hope my kids too will gain this knowledge and deep appreciation for the atonement and resurrection of our Savior. I hope you had a great Easter too.

As always, your kids are adorable! And I am very impressed by Thomas's skills. Remember how when he was learning how to talk you were worried he was behind? He's definitely gone above and beyond just being caught up!

I've just been getting caught up on your blog - love it! Thomas' handwriting is way impressive, that's awesome. Ingi got a purse for Easter too, and like Grace, she loves it - aren't the gender differences crazy, even without our encouraging it :) I also loved your movie review - so funny, I watched How do you know, and Life as we know it this weekend and had the exact same reactions (way disappointed and then pleasantly surprised), so I'll have to try the others you recommend!
