Island Park
We just got back from a five day trip to Island Park. I have to admit I was dragging my feet about this trip. I had a Dr.'s appointment I had to move, Thomas would miss 2 days of preschool which is loves. It's one of Nolan's favorite places, so I wanted him to go for sure. But I haven't been feeling the greatest and was not excited about a long car trip, and I just wasn't sure how the kids would handle being cooped up in a little hotel room for 5 days while everyone else was out snowmobiling, oh and no internet haha. I knew my energy level wouldn't be able to keep up with 2 stir crazy kids. It ended up going a lot smoother than I thought. And as we were leaving Thomas said, "I love Island Park." That was music to Nolan's ears. Nolan's younger brother and his fiancee were with us and then his parents came up too. We did a lot of swimming, I should rephrase that, the kids swam a lot, I was more like a beached whale!
and we had a lot of fun each night playing games, and watching movies. My favorite day was Monday because after they went on a big ride they came home and the kids and I were able to go on a little snowmobile ride to Big Springs. Grace loved it, and told Nolan's mom over and over, faster Grandma, faster.
We always love making a stop to feed the fish, ducks, and muskrat bread. The kids love it more and more each time. After we did that we went to a pretty great spot for some sledding.
Grace loves it, she's not that great at hiking up the hill but will go down it over and over again with no fear. Luckily there were lots of helpers getting her up the hill.
Thomas likes it, but had more fun sliding down on his snow pants and hiking up the hill.
We then did some more swimming. It was a fun filled day and now we're home. Only four more weeks until our due date, and no more traveling in our future. I had a Dr.'s appointment and was dilated to a 1, so that is good for me. We're getting pretty anxious.

Wow. you got some great pictures of the kiddos! Good work. Now where is that 9 month belly shot?
I want the belly shot too! You r such a trooper! A+ on being dilated to a 1. I'm getting anxious and excited for u guys too!
I'm glad you ended up having a fun time. I'm sure you didn't look one bit like a beached whale. Probably more like a little puffer fish. It's good to know it is possible to survive for days with no internet.
Fun! I love Grace's little snow outfit! Cute pictures. I will echo the previous comments. Where's the belly shot?!
I am glad the trip went well! Grace is so cute in that coat. 4 more weeks....gosh that is crazy. I am so excited to see this little person!! And excited to see you soon too!!
Glad you had fun! I kinda was nervous to go places during the end too, but sounds like it turned out good! You are so close, thats awesome :) And yes, I will join the bandwagon and say that I would love a belly picture too!!!
What a good sport when you're 9 months prego! Looks like fun in the snow. Brrr!! The kids are so cute :)
Awesome...4 WEEKS, can't wait...Girl or Boy? GIrl or Boy? I asked Amelia today what you were having, because I'm sure she's met him/her....
So glad your weekend went better than anticipated! I love the picture with Grace and the ski mask on her head, it is so cute, made me laugh! Hang in there, it won't be long before that baby is here!
How fun! We just got back from Island Park too! We love that place!!! And where is the belly shot? HaHA! you are probably half the size I am when I am 9mo. prego. Way to go, I don't think I would have been able to handle two kids in a hotel room for days without internet. Amazing!! HAHA!
I definitely can't see you as a beached whale in any way. It sounds like such a fun trip, and I'm glad you got to get out one more time before the baby comes. I'm jealous that you only have 4 more weeks!
I love Grace's snow outfit--way cute! Glad you had fun! Hope you're feeling well (and baby too!)
Great pictures! It sure was fun to spend that time with you.
