Visiting Montana Cousins

After Island park, we drove a couple more hours to visit my brother Ben and his family at their beautiful home on the Gallatin River. Emma was never put down and rotated between Aunt Kara and Blodgett cousins!
They really laid out the spread for us. Upon arrival Kara had a whole spread of food on her counter. Mmmmm....My brother is a chef at a new restaurant he and his friend opened in Bozeman a couple years ago. It's such great food, if you're ever there its' called Storm Castle Cafe, you'll love it. Anyways, that night my brother made us an amazing dinner.  I think I talk about food in every post!  The kids loved playing with their cousins who they don't see very often.
Ruth E. and Thomas stayed busy with games: Chess, Checkers, Ticket To Ride, and Battleship. Thomas is our serious gamer. He's happiest when playing with older kids who understand the games.
Meanwhile Grace and Judy Gail played an assortment of make believe with every stuffed animal in their house.
The next morning when they headed to school we left, and Thomas and Grace both cried the first hour of our drive because they didn't get to play long enough. It was a wonderful trip. On the way home Thomas said, "Mom we know a lot of people don't we?" It made me laugh, but I started thinking about it and I feel really lucky that most places we go we have friends and family we can visit and stay with. Thanks for all the love Blodgett family!

Oh looks like fun! Too bad you couldn't stay long, but a little bit is better than nothing. I'm sure they loved you coming! Thomas cracks me up with his gaming...I am so glad he gets along so well with Kyle...Kyle needs someone to play with a lot of times.
