Emma Turns One!

We had a lot of fun celebrating Emma's first birthday. In the morning I took pictures of her against our wall where I had put wrapping paper on, they turned out pretty cute. Then most of the day was spent making her cake. Nolan's brother Darren and his family came over and grandma and grandpa Harper for her party that night. It turned out so perfect, and I loved all her toys and she was so funny eating her own little cake. We were laughing so hard. This girl love sweets!
My other kids hardly even touched their case on their first birthday, but she could not get enough. She was so full of personality, it was hilarious! She would put one finger up when you said to say one, and laugh, wave, and touch her nose whenever prompted.  She got a rody horse, ball popper, alligator push toy, and this new chair for her room with her name embroidered on it! I found it at Downeast. Love that place. I think my older two love the chair and rody horse as much or more than she does!
The only bummer about the whole thing was I took so many pictures and the next morning was going through and deleting some and Accidentally deleted all of them off of my card before transferring them onto my computer. I was so so bummed. So we had to reenact her eating another piece of cake and taking a few pictures. It's not the same and I couldn't get a shot of the cake because most of it had been eating so hopefully she will know that I did make her an fancy cake and didn't forget about her first birthday.
This picture was taken the morning of her birthday. I want to start doing that with each of my kids. We sure love you Emma Jean!  She's been lots better since we got tubes put in her ears, now we gotta get her walking!

Thanks so much for sharing! I love to see her adorable little face. She is getting big fast. I am glad she had a happy day. I'm also glad you reenacted pictures! Brilliant recovery!

Ouch...tubes...I'm sure it helps though. I would also like to try her rody horse?? Never heard of it, but it sounds pretty sweet.

She was soo fun to watch eat her cake! I am so sad you lost the pictures, but I'm glad you reenacted it....better than nothing :) Kyle seriously wants her chair. He has told me several times!

How is she one already?! So cute, and everything looks so good and fun! Bummer about the pics! But reenacting is just as good. :) I have my brides do it "getting ready" after they are all done, and ten years down the road they'll think it was when they were getting ready. :)

If you thought this was good try one of these...
