Getting ready for delivery day!!

My due date was December 7th, and I really thought I would have a baby long before because a couple weeks prior I was already dilating and feeling like it was coming. I definitely didn't think I'd go over, but by my Dr.'s appointment on the ninth I decided to schedule Wednesday the 11th to be induced. I had talked to him a lot about possibly doing a C-section because a week before I had an ultrasound and The baby's head was face up, he had been measuring small for 4 weeks, but his head measured 41 weeks, and the cord was possibly wrapped around his neck. I thought a C-section would be the safest, and not lead to me pushing for 2 hours and having to do a C-section anyways. He thought everything looked great, and he said the cord is wrapped around the neck very often, and he could fix that during delivery and hopefully turn James position to face down. So we decided to go on with a normal delivery by induction on the 11th.

(This picture was actually taken 3 weeks before I delivered. I sure felt big!) That night when I got home I felt like I had a huge list of things I wanted done around the house before we had the baby. Nolan and I went to work. We decorated gingerbread houses with the kids, and cleaned, cleaned, cleaned.
We've been having a lot of fun with our advent calendar this year. It gives us something Christmas themed to do every night. A week before it said to make a snowman, and this is what we did. Thank you pinterest!
Nolan prepared a very special Family Home Evening lesson that night. We talked a lot about what a new baby brings to a house, and the kids asked a lot of sweet questions. Nolan then gave me a blessing, and I was touched to see both Thomas and Grace crying afterwards because they were worried about me. It was a really sweet night, one that I will remember. Little did we know that James was going to join our family a day early the next day!
